This is the worst hotel we have stayed in for a long time.
In summary:
- Filthy dirty common areas and room.
- Staff incredibly rude.
- Reception unattended.
We arrived at 2am in the morning, having booked our room from the night before. The reception was unattended, with just a sign saying to go to the hotel next door to check in.
Once we navigated check in which took almost 20 minutes, we then went to the room. I was surprised to see the poor state of the common areas, with dirt all over the carpet, dirty walls, rubbish piled up etc, in what is a relatively new hotel.
The room was absolutely disgustingly dirty and the bed partially made (see pic).
We went back down to the reception in the hotel next door with our bags.
The Egyptian duty manager was incredibly rude, arrogant and above all argumentative. First he argued and then told us we were wrong. Didn’t listen to anything we said. Then he viewed the room and profusely apologised. He told us the hotel was full and only one room available which still needed to be cleaned.
He didn’t see it as his issue to solve. Finally he found a room and said it was clean. But then informed us the TV was missing and therefore we needed to wait to have the TV installed. We told him we didn’t care about the TV, but he refused to listen and said we couldn’t use it until the Tv was installed. So we had to wait 25min for this to happen. Overall is was almost 4 am before we settled in a room.
Absolute disgrace for a Marriot managed property.
We explained we wanted to meet with the cluster GM to explain and discuss our experience the mext morning and asked the duty manager to inform the GM and ask for a time to meet.
They agreed but we’ve heard nothing and it’s 3pm. Obviously just want to ignore our complaint.
We will never stay here again and would recommend no one else do!
The location is accessable everything.
I express my gratitude to the entire staff for their hospitality. My room is kept clean by the housekeeping staff. My concern is being promptly addressed by the engineering team. And Joy's breakfast When dining in, the chef and waitress are always friendly.
Near airport and easy to access. Staff were super attentive and friendly making our stay enjoyable.

We were warmly welcomed by Indusara at the Aloft-Marriott reception desk, and his hospitality truly stood out. He was kind, attentive, and went out of his way to make our check-in smooth and pleasant. His customer-friendly attitude made us feel genuinely cared for, and his professionalism was matched by a warm smile that set the tone for our stay. Indusara is a credit to the Marriott brand — thank you for making us feel at home.
The hotel itself was spotless, with modern, well-kept rooms that offered great comfort. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety and a standout cooking team — especially the chef preparing fresh omelettes, who brought both skill and warmth to the morning experience.
The service was top notch, even though we didn’t receive the king bed we reserved, it didn’t matter because we were so tired from the trip. The beds were comfy and the room was clean. The only down side is that we missed the shuttle by a couple minutes and had to wait another hour for the next one. When you are tired and sweaty that was a very long hour wait!
I’m truly shocked that Element Hotel allows a company like De Meridian / DMGC Tourism LLC to operate within its premises.
We purchased a travel subscription package from this company during a visit to their setup inside the hotel. Their representatives made several verbal promises — including return tickets to specific countries, 21 nights of hotel stays, a physical membership card within 48 hours, EMI support, and full VIP services.
None of these promises were honored. Every attempt to avail the services was met with delay, avoidance, or contradictions. Customer service was appalling, and after weeks of chasing, I was forced to escalate the matter to Dubai Consumer Rights and DET, who instructed them to proceed with a refund.
Even more disappointing is that I sent an email to Element Hotel’s management to inform them of this issue — no one even bothered to respond.
You are hosting this operation within your hotel. That gives it a sense of trust and legitimacy. But now, many victims are left feeling deceived.
It is unacceptable that such unethical and misleading services are being tolerated in a branded hotel like Element. Is the hotel only concerned about making rental income from these vendors — regardless of the damage to guests and residents?
I hope this review raises awareness and pushes Element Hotel to take accountability and investigate who they are allowing to operate under their roof.

I had an unexpected extended stay at the Element Dubai Airport. The housekeeping staff that I saw and encountered each day was excellent; within a short time they knew how I liked my set up in the room. They were efficient and attention to detail and also very attentive. I would like to credit my comment to Mr Amal and Mr. Vijay. Please extend my compliments to each of them.
