Room was as expected and the beds and bathroom facilities were very good. Breakfast lovely and cocktail bar a really nice setting. All the staff were helpful and very polite with one exception.
As above staff really polite and welcoming. However, at breakfast on the second morning, I was questioned about if we had paid for this. On our arrival on the Thursday evening I asked to book breakfast for four of us and paid an additional £136. There was clearly some glitch on the second morning and this had not registered with the staff member at the breakfast reception. It could possibly have been a language misunderstanding, but having already paid and advised the member of staff, I was pretty offended by being told she would check with reception. I can (perhaps) understand her need to confirm this, but it proved quite unsettling for it to be suggested that this needed to be checked out. As mentioned, it may have been down to language or misinterpretation, but I would suggest the member of staff needs educating in how to handle future similar situations. Sad really, as a really nice stay marred by this one episode. Thank-you
