Schöner Ausblick über die Bucht, leckeres Essen im Restaurant, kein Badeziel
Pros:

Das Hotel liegt am äußersten Ende der Schotterpiste in der Drake Bay. Bei Niedrigwasser kann man eine wesentlich angenehmere Abkürzung über den Strand fahren.
Frühstück hat mehrere frisch zu bereitete Eierspeisen zur Auswahl.

Cons:

Das Zimmer ist für maximal 5 Personen. Es stehen 1 Doppel- und 3 Einzelbetten drin, was einen Jugendherbergscharakter gibt.
Es sind 150 steile Stufen zwischen Zimmer und Restaurant. Bei 35 Grad und 100% Luftfeuchtigkeit auch für fitte Menschen eine Herausforderung. Der Strand in der Drake Bay ist nicht schön, besser direkt vorm Ortseingang liegen. Es gibt einen 30 Minuten Fußmarsch entfernten Strand am anderen Ende der Bay. Um zu ihm zu gelangen geht es durch ein Waldstück über weitere 150 Stufen und diverse Wurzelstufen. Belohnt für die Mühe wurden wir mit vielen Tiersichtungen.
Zum Corcovado Nationalpark Eingang sind es 60 Minuten mit dem Boot. Bei Wellengang ist der Rücken hinterher hin.

Perfect base for Drake Bay and Corcovado NP
Pros:

Great location with stunning views over the bay and close to the pick up point for boat trips to the NP and for Cano island snorkelling trips. They picked us up from the airstrip, 20 mins from the hotel. They booked our trip to the Corcovado NP long before we arrived as needs booking in advance. Claudio’s restaurant adjoins the hotel. Very good food although staff a bit more surely than we had found in rest of CR

Cons:

We were in room 11, 150 steps above the hotel so fantastic views but hard work to get up the steps. The steps are worth it for the view and a lovely terrace to the room for watching the scarlet macaws flying by

Beau potentiel !
Pros:

Nous avons adoré l’emplacement et la vue qui sont incroyables !

Cons:

Les équipements sont vieillissant, les chambres très mal isolées. Le personnel de l’hôtel est sympathique en revanche ceux du restaurant dont l’hôtel est dépendant sont limite polis, non chaland et le service est particulièrement long (pour les boissons car nous comprenons qu’il faut du temps pour cuisiner). C’est très dommage car la nourriture est très bonne.

Preis-Leistung passt überhaupt nicht.
Pros:

Wir hatten ein schönes Zimmer mit Blick auf die Bucht. Die Zimmer sind wirklich nur zum Schlafen ausgestattet. Das Restaurant ist sehr gut.

Cons:

Schiefe Böden in den Zimmern. Alles ist sehr Weitläufig zu erreichen. Vom Service merkt man nicht viel, weil kein Angebot besteht. Frühstück ist nur von 5 Uhr bis 8 Uhr. Das Restaurant schließt 21 Uhr.

An amazing jungle retreat
Pros:

A great hotel on the beach surrounded by beautiful jungle and incredible views of Drakes Bay. An excellent base to visit the National Park and Cano Island. Great food at the on-site Claudio's grill. So much wildlife <3

Pros:

Jinetes de Osa is a nice place, run by nice folks. The rooms are spacious and clean. Ours had 4 beds. The room had bars of soap, but no shampoo, conditioner or other amenities. However the biggest miss was knowledge that there are 270 steps to climb to get to the room. The view was spectacular,

The restaurant, a separate business, was very good. We booked a tour through the hotel and were very glad we did, we arrived at Corcovado earlier than everyone else and Rolando was the best guide. He was telling the other (younger) guides where to find the animals.

A Good Experience
Pros:

The views are stupendous! The food was amazing, and the staff very friendly. I loved the guided tour to Corcovado with Rolando - the best guide of our 2 week trip to CR with 4 tour guides.

Cons:

The steps to the room were many and would not be doable for some people. There needs to be a better refrigerator so one could have ice while in the room. Each room needs a fan as well.

Pros:

Beautiful place at the end of Drake Bay!
The transfer with the public boat was working great and we were getting help with the luggage right away.
The room was spacious, directly above the hiking trail, it was very nice, from the seats in front we had a nice view under the palm trees onto the water.
Breakfast was good, the tours into the national park were absolute Highlights of our trip. The dinner in the Restaurant was also great, also a good place for a smoothie after a tour. Staff was very helpful and friendly. There are also additional nice places to eat some meters away. We had some great days there.
