Ok to stay but you can find better places at the same price.
Pros:

On the positive side it has an old fashioned vibe and attention to details. Breakfast was good and staff was very friendly.

Cons:

OK but very basic and small rooms. No chair, no desk, no proper wardrobe - just a bed and a bathroom. Could hear the metro throughout the night.

An amazing independent hotel in a great location
Pros:

A lovely hotel in an ideal location so close to Paddington. The staff were so friendly, rooms clean and modern while keeping the traditional style of an old building, and a lovely breakfast

Cons:

The room was small (but every hotel has small rooms so this wasn’t a surprise). If it was summer time with no air con that might be an issue, but for winter time the room was warm and cosy even with single pane glass windows

Une bonne surprise !
Pros:

La déco, classique mais relax . La salle de bains , petite mais très propre et bien équipée .
Le délicieux petit déjeuner servi à table , le bar agréable ,les magnifiques escaliers en pierre .
Enfin la proximité de la gare Paddington .

Cons:

L'acceuil inégal , certains réceptionnistes n'étaient pas très aimables et d'autres charmants .
Certaines chambres sur rue sont bruyantes .

Goede locatie. Schone kamers. Aandachtspunten voor personeel.
Pros:

We waren heel positief over de receptiemedewerker die de avond (tevens nacht?) werkte. Een erg vriendelijke en behulpzame meneer.
De kamer was erg schoon bij aankomst en werd ook heel prettig schoon gehouden.
Locatie was perfect!

Cons:

Op de eerste ochtend na aankomst was er de mogelijkheid om in het hotel te ontbijten. Wij bestelden beiden een gerecht met zalm. Al snel viel ons op dat de zalm een zeer sterke geur had, zodanig dat wij het vermoeden kregen dat deze niet meer vers was. Toen wij dit bij de bediening aankaartten, werd ons verteld dat er niets aan de hand was en werden de borden opnieuw op tafel gezet. Uiteindelijk kregen wij dus zalm geserveerd waarvan wij de kwaliteit als onvoldoende hebben ervaren, en waarvoor wij wel volledig hebben betaald. Dit vonden wij niet netjes en het komt niet gastvrij over.
Daarnaast hebben wij de medewerkers bij de receptie als weinig gastvrij ervaren. Bij het langslopen was er zelden sprake van een glimlach of begroeting. Ook hebben wij meerdere keren gevraagd of de verwarming op de kamer uitgezet kon worden, aangezien de kamer erg warm werd. Op beide dagen bleek bij terugkomst dat de verwarming nog steeds hoog stond.
Tot slot nog een aandachtspunt: hoewel de kamer comfortabel was, zouden extra ophangmogelijkheden voor handdoeken, jassen en dergelijke een verbetering zijn. Met twee personen misten wij enkele extra haken.

Wonderful and very British!
Pros:

Eine Hotelatmosphäre, die mich auf angenehme Weise in eine längst vergangene Zeit zurück versetzt hat- sehr stylisch revitalisiert.
Das Frühstück frisch zubereitet und köstlich!
Das Service freundlich und zuvorkommend.
Die Lage ist perfekt- 1 min. zur Paddington-Station
Achtung: manche Zimmer sind nicht mit dem Lift erreichbar!
Dennoch:Ich komme gerne wieder…

Super rapport qualité / prix et joli lieu de repos pour un week end
Pros:

Hôtel typé très NY, très joliement décoré et agréable. Rue un peu bruyante mais on a rapidement changé de chambre. Personnel très accueillant et coin en bas très cool pour prendre un bon café.

Cons:

Chambre sur rue trop bruyante.
