relaxing retreat from a busy world close to a science hub and nature
Pros:

The hotel is tucked in the outskirts of Itoshima a suburb of Fukuoka that is about 2 km from the university (reason to stay there). Buses run regularly to the metro stops (use online map) and taxi is about 15 euro. However, it is a very high spec hotel with a small public bath that is great for recovering from running up and down the hills around the area and a large public bath 200 m away, which has extensive facilities, gym and 25 m swimming pool (not deep so you can also walk). The rooms are great - I had one with a small kitchen unit that I barely used as the buffet dinner had everything for everyone (European and Japanese food). Staff are a very friendly and helpful even by Japanese standards of hospitality. I stayed for 10 days (well based myself there with a few days elsewhere) and it felt like home, with one heck of a mountain view to wake up to. I am definitely staying there the next time i visit which is hopefully soon.

Cons:

public bath in hotel could be open a bit longer in the morning and breakfast (which was great) could be open a bit longer also. Checking out at 10 is on the early side also. actually there is nothing really to complain about the place to be honest.

Nice and clean room. Lovely onsen

Cons:

The reception was enormous, so I guess they have had to make the rooms a bit smaller My nose was dripping constantly. I think it had something to do with the carpet.

立地良しコスパ良し◎
Pros:

部屋付きのシャワーも大浴場も清潔で快適でした。
ビュッフェは素材を活かした上品な味付けでとても美味しかったです。

Cons:

初日に、ほもりや伊都の湯どころなどのお得情報を見逃していたので、口頭でご案内いただけていたらもっとよかったです。
