Great location
Beds are very high off ground and you can’t turn off bathroom light which means room isn’t that dark for sleeping
Good position sort of equidistant between Cuba St and Courtenay place. It's quite convenient while still being affordable. Not a conventional hotel vibe.
I have a love-hate relationship with this place. Rotting food left in the (barely functioning) fridge. Quite severe mould in the shower (moved promptly to another room). Screwed up booking (not fixed) There's no laundry. There's a lot of dust. On the other hand it is a groovy place with a faded Art-Hotel vibe. It's convenient and usually well priced. The staff try hard.
Location is good
Mould in the shower tray and on the ceiling does not make for a healthy environment. Reception was unmanned with a back in 10 mins sign up yet was gone for at least half an hour
good, value, clean, modern, size of room, quiet, helpful staff
no verandah over door with the rain got wet waiting for ride to airport
Location not quite as central as needed
Price
Not good for people who aren't tech savy
Friendly reception staff
Car park was awful for the premium price that they charged to park.overnight.
The allocated parking spots were a mess for allocation, I parked in 4 different spots over the period of my stay as after speaking to other guests nobodys allocated spot was correct.
The parking spaces were far too small for modern day vehicles, there wasn't enough space to park 2 medium suv's next to each other and be able to get out of your car without a struggle.
Very inadequate ventilation in room without a window, it felt very stuffy and considering there was also a shower the volume of air to be turned over in that size room without an opening window was below regulation.
Although the room looked modern the opaque glass doors that covered the toilet and shower were far from private and you can make out quite clearly what a person may be doing.
The glass doors were not clean and had hand and finger marks all over them.
There was a thick layer of dust on the tops of power points and light switches, also behind the tv which could be seen easily looked like dust hadn't been cleaned for a long time.
The headboard for the bed also had a line of dust along the top that you could run your finger along.
The most dangerous obstacle was the hanging light above the bedside table right next to the bed, which was metal and quite sturdy. This light hangs very low below an average head height and I banged my head on it 4 times when plugging in a charger to the power point or when getting out of bed and reaching onto the bedside table for something and then proceding to stand up.
Walking distance to I-Site etc.
Not sure about NO window! TV impossible to use. Could not get any TV for our two night stay. We just want to be able to switch it ON/OFF.
Not everyone use modern phones and good with technology.
Really close to the CBD
Was dusty in the room, it needs a little spring clean, especially around plugs in bathroom, dusting of skirting, bed head was needed. But it was all I needed for one night stay close to city
We didn't have coat hangers or a hand towel. Our family member had no teaspoons or milk. There are no directions to the lobby in the stairwell - we got lost!
