Hotel was an easy walk from the train and also walkable to many sights. Quiet neighborhood. Rooms were very spacious and nice to have the WC separate from the bathroom. Lovely bathroom, but only had the basics for toiletries. However, I was able to borrow a hair straightener/curler from the front desk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cafe in the lobby had delicious pastries and bagel sandwiches, so we bought breakfast there every morning. Coffee was ok, but matcha latte was delicious!
It would be nice to have complimentary coffee / tea / snacks available in the lobby, but at least there were tea bags and a hot water heater in the room
Kahvaltı muhteşemdi. Yatak çok rahattı. Tuvaletler Japonya’daki güzel ve fonksiyonel tuvaletlerden biriydi. Oda geniş ve ferahtı. Teras doluydu ama çok iyi bir ambiyansa sahipti.
Fiyatı biraz daha uygun olabilirdi.
The most incredible hotel. The rooftop bar Cicon was an absolute vibe, amazing food and drinks, blankets and heaters to keep us warm on a cold evening. The rooms were clean, functional and comfortable. Fantastic bed and sheets. The lobby is a beautiful space to be in. High ceiling, well designed, open cafe with amazing pastries. Lots of greenery and top quality everything. Great bang for buck. Highly recommend!!

Location was superb, the bookable meditation room is lovely, dinner in both the restaurant and rooftop bar was great, the staff are friendly and helpful, and the bakery in the lounge is great!

Green tea ! Would like more options in the bedroom but the reception luckily had more flavour to offer
The staff was very friendly and spoke very good English. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and also they were cleaned every day. There is a laundry room and amazing bakery with extremely delicious food which opens at 07:00. The location is perfect because it is within walkable distance from top tourist attractions as well as to public transport stations.

Location on a Main Street made for easy access, but room not noisy. Modern muted colors and wood accents, enough staff spoke enough English, breakfast and service in basement restaurant was good. Roof top bar was nice. Big bed, nice bathroom, room 518 looked over a parking lot, but could see the sipurtoundung hills and Kiyamizu-dera temple.
1/2 the time there was a <3 minute wait to get in for breakfast. Really, a charge for espresso, breakfast baked goods were ok, but day old from the main floor bakery, orange juice from a box.
Modern, clean, friendly. Such an ideal location and super handy having the cafe in the lobby. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.
The most comfortable hotel I stayed at in Japan. Spacious and quiet room with a gigantic king size bed. Very well-manned and efficient front desk staff. Nice rooftop bar. The bakery downstairs was excellent for pastries/sandwiches and coffee. Well located to some of the major sites on the East side of Kyoto (Kiyomizu-dera, Fushimi Inari, Sanjūsangendō Temple, Gion district etc). I highly recommend.
