I would have liked to be able to make a cup of tea in my room.
All good. Room was clean, comfortable and adequately equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay.
Bar was good for an end of evening drink (after attending a concert).
Breakfast was excellent with lots of options to suit all tastes.
All the staff we met were friendly and helpful.
The room faced onto an internal quadrangle so was a little gloomy without the lights on. The decor was very corporate and bland - a typical chain hotel room that could have been anywhere in the world and made no reference to the hotel’s location in the old heart of the city or its history as a printworks.
Very central to the Beacon Theatre, where we attended a concert. We had a meal in the restaurant before going, which was lovely.
Would definitely recommend to friends & family. We would also return.
The only criticism I would say is the tables when we went for breakfast are far to close to each other.
When other guests were eating you had to squeeze through to pass, which was a bit off putting. That could easily be rectified though with just moving the tables about.
Other than that a lovely hotel and it would not put us off from staying again.
The hotel was very central and was a good size room.

Only suggestion would be to have a much lighter duvet available as the one provided was a bit warm for us

Staff were lovely. Room was small but nice, clean and quiet. Good area. Felt safe at night.
Lots to like. Good size rooms and bathrooms. Comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Excellent location for exploring Bristol. The rooms felt designed by someone who stays in hotels: plentiful plug points including USB by the bedside table, a safe you didn't need to crawl on the floor to access, good reading lights. They also serve excellent coffee.
Minor point: but on the three occasions I dealt with reception they spent an age tapping at their computer screen. A new system that's not working or a lack of staff training?
