Noisy air-conditioning and squeaky door
Neat and tidy and an easy comute to where I needed to go.
No bowls in the social area to have my breakfast
This hotel was a very short walk from Essendon station and therefore is easy to get to using public transport.
The room was clean, bathroom was quite large. We chose the room with ensuite. The room is very basic but all that we required for a one night stay.
Hotel and bistro on site, so lunch and dinner options are right on the doorstep.
There was quite a bit of noise from the trains and traffic noise from nearby intersections. However, that is unavoidable with a hotel that is located on a busy intersection. Basic coat-hangers on hooks were the only option to hang any clothes and the hair-dryer was available on request from reception. Be aware that there is no breakfast option available in this hotel.
Nicely appointed simple layout.
Bed was too soft.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, staff are friendly. Very conveniently located opposite the train station, it’s only a short commute to the CBD.
The tab area is a bonus for me, as I enjoy the races and watching the footy on the other tv is an added extra. If you like to play the pokies there is plenty of them too. It has its own bistro with a good selection of meals.
All in all, it’s my go to place to stay in Melbourne ( Essendon).
Really I have no dislikes about my stay.

Noisy (you can hear the tram, train, traffic, loud TV in the lounge, and doors banging in the corridor)
