JW Marriott Hotel Guadalajara

Jose made our first evening in Guadalajara wonderful! Great food, great service, and spectacular ambiance! Spectacular all around

I recently stayed at the JW Marriott in Guadalajara and had a wonderful experience. The entire property is spotless, and the atmosphere is fantastic—upscale yet very welcoming. The food was also delicious!
I want to give a special thank you to Monica, who was incredibly helpful in resolving a small inconvenience I had in my room. She made sure I was well taken care of and handled the situation perfectly. It’s rare to find staff this attentive and professional.

Amazing experience, the entire stay was very enjoyable and the restaurant was top class especially my amazing server Jose.

Amazing hotel with great amenities. Ot was recommended byba local friend and we don't regret staying here. Great breakfast and great customer service.

Servcie is really Beyond expectations. We had breakfast in Agave every day and our server Carlos Mata was simply awesome

An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish! The place is stunning, with authentic Art Deco details that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. Every corner is beautifully designed and full of charm. José was exceptionally attentive, kind, and professional — he made the whole experience even more special. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who appreciates beauty, history, and excellent service. Truly unforgettable

Beautiful hotel. Agave restaurant is excellent! All of the Staff is very friendly and always ready to help. The pool and executive lounge are very relaxing and wonderful spaces to enjoy.

Fabulous hotel. Food incredible and service sensational. Jose in the Agave restaurant attended me throughout the weekend. He made me feel extra special by remembering my preferences. He is such a delight.

This hotel is amazing!! We had breakfast in the restaurant and our server Jose was amazing on top of everything. Best service ever. I love Mexico! Their hospitality is at another level. The food is amazing, great atmosphere. I will definitely come back.

The room and views were great, the gym and exec floor as well. The overall experience of staff was really fantastic. We sadly had a very disappointing experience. I had left my ipad on the bed (plainly visible, not under any sheets) after reading the morning newspaper. The next morning I am looking for my ipad, and look everywhere thinking it had fallen under the bed. We called the front desk to report it and they call us back a while later asking what it looks like (we said, it looks like an ipad, and a big tag on it with my email printed). Later on, they say (30 hours after the fact) that they found the ipad in the laundry service. We are not amused. It took them 30 hours to realize and asked odd questions (as if they wanted to know which of many ipads?).
We hope that this will be investigated as it seems to be a method of stealing.

Great hotel, nice service. I would only improve 3 things:
AC is not always consistent.
Breakfast at the executive lounge could vary a bit more from day to day.
If an event is cancelled (due to any reason) you should inform the people that was interested in it, as I got the first call with the price but never th cancellation one.

The hotel overall is great, in all aspects. Service is spectacular. Staff in front desk, concierge and executive lounge are excellent.
My only comment on the executive lounge, they should open longer hours. It’s open 6-9am for breakfast everyday. In our case, we were on vacation, and we missed breakfast because we came after 9am.
My suggestion is to open until 10am weekdays, or 11am on weekends.

I recently spent a week at the JW Marriott Guadalajara for my wedding, and I can’t say enough about how wonderful the experience was. We had over 100 guests staying at the hotel, which could have been a challenge, but the staff handled it with such professionalism and warmth.

Thanks to my Platinum status, I was upgraded to a beautiful suite upon arrival. They even offered to move me to a higher floor the next day to make sure I had the best view possible. The lounge was stunning and became one of my favorite places to relax during the week.

What really stood out was how accommodating the team was with all the wedding details. They went above and beyond for my wife—steaming her dress, bringing champagne and a charcuterie board for her “get ready” day, and even providing an additional room for me to get ready before seeing her. Those thoughtful touches made everything feel that much more special.

The entire staff was fantastic, but I want to highlight David at the front desk. He always greeted us with a smile and truly went out of his way to ensure everything for the wedding went smoothly. His attention and kindness made a big difference.

If I had one small suggestion, it would be to keep the AC in the rooms a little cooler. At times it felt warm, and the temperature didn’t drop as low as I would have liked.

Even with that, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Guadalajara. Between the beautiful property, the excellent service, and the personal touches, it’s easily one of the best hotels in the city
