More staff training/communication needed
Pros:

Great location, very convenient despite roadworks. Clean, comfortable rooms. Have stayed there many times for work.

Cons:

Booked and paid for a 2 night stay. Arrived before check-in to show ID and give credit card, as I had to start work before 2pm. Let reception know that I needed access after hours as I did not finish work until after 10pm. They said they would send me an email with instructions on how to get my room key. Received a phone call at work that evening asking when I would be arriving. I explained that I'd already been in to show ID etc and that I was expecting an email re access. They did not seem to find a note re being in earlier, but said they would send the email. Finished work just after 10pm...no email. Arrived at hotel and rang on after hours phone, took a while to answer, but eventually got instructions. The next afternoon while at work i got another call asking if I was staying another night (!!!) I explained that I'd already checked in, booked and paid for 2 nights. They told me they couldn't see that I'd checked in, but acknowledged I had paid for 2 nights. I was told I would need to be issued with ANOTHER key card and that I would receive an email for after hours access. Thankfully I got one this time. There seems to be a lack of training/note taking on the check in system and communication at staff changeovers. Made it a bit stressful for me, wondering if I'd be able to get into the room I'd paid for. I would stay there again, but would be VERY clear that they make notes. I live outside Adelaide and occasionally do shift work which means I start and finish outside check-in reception hours. I try to do everything to make things go smoothly from my end.

Rude Staff & NO PARKING.
Pros:

Clean room and comfortable bed. Close to the CBD and surrounds.

Cons:

The lack of accessible parking. We have a disability parking permit and had to park in the side street due to lack of parking. I understand that it is a first come, first serve basis but when you are at the counter & an obnoxious male comes in & starts raising his voice & carrying on Stephen told him he could park directly under a no parking sign! When my husband asked why they could park there & not other who have a disability, Stephens response was rude & aggressive. He was obviously frustrated from dealing with the previous person. It would have also been great if guests were advised that Melbourne street was one way due to upgrades.

Large complex, great restaraunt attached, nr parklands & historic, wealthy, pretty, Nth Adl.( photo
Pros:

Very conscientious reception staff, nice fellow Travellers, several options for meals nearby, but also an attached restaraunt with excellent food. Good kitchen in the room with deep stainless steel sink.

David Roche Gallery and heritage house with plaques on Melbourne Street further down, we're beautiful to walk by.

If ny partner had come, he would have appreciated the skinny private balcony where he could have had a smoke.

Was great that breakfast at premises was still available after checkout, but the chef who did everything was a bit worn out by then. maybe. He's made a unique delicious menu; wish i'd had dinner there too! Very convenient!

Cons:

Surprisingly the room was very dull in colour, pure greige, which didnt enhance the view of urban carpark.

Just a touch of one well- chosen colou,r, maybe on the window trim beam, would brighten things up immensely.

The TV is separate from the bedroom; and for me the room felt overly warm at night, but that's a personal preference thing.
