Sueño Pacifico

We arrived and it was raining. Of course it's a jungle. We were supposed to be there for two nights they checked us in and they said it's too dangerous to take our car up to the hotel because it's so steep and I guess something with the bricks. So he put us in a little car and took us halfway. We got on the elevator. Took the elevator up I think to get off at the restaurant. Walk through the restaurant and over a slippery little bridge. Then we took another elevator up to our room. So of course I asked him when we need to get down what do I do? He said to contact them with WhatsApp and someone will be there within a minute. Okay so we go to the room so many issues. No bedside tables. No electricity at the bedside. You have to step up about a foot or so to get into the bathroom. Hard for someone handicapped. So I messaged them and said we can't stay here. I messaged so many times to no avail I ended up calling the police. The police came. We got down there with all our luggage. The man at the desk promised that he would contact Expedia and give us a refund. It was done. All good.


Staff here was absolutely wonderful. Thank you all for your help with our luggage. lots of stairs in this place. The Infinity pool was beautiful. At the pool bar they make incredible caiperaina. The restaurant was delicious.
And the staff there was incredible as well. We had two different rooms here because of the stair situation. And both of them were so beautiful. The road coming up here is v

1 night stopover while traveling. Not a fancy place but reasonably clean. Decent value.

Beautiful setting and views. Lots of birds and macaws showed up in the trees and flyovers. Bare bones kitchen but only stayed one nite. Room comfortable but could use update. Nice to have AC. Dining options a short drive away. Pool was refreshing

A run down property. The reviews and advertising do not match the condition.

Jaime and Dinete made us feel welcome even before we checked in. They were extremely attentive and had great recommendations for activities and food. The place was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. We even saw macaws from our patio in the morning. It’s a hidden gem. Basic with stylish touches!

Convenient position near many things to do but very peaceful as off the main road with a beautiful view. Lots of birds especially macaws.
Four units in a row with a shared pool so good for travelers who like some social interaction. Hosts were wonderful and we would stay there again.

The view was amazing with Macaw's and Toucan's right out side our room. The location is great with the National park 5 minutes one way and restaurants 5 minutes the other way. Staff was friendly and spoke English. Room was clean and nicely decorated. It is a steep hill up to the location but it is paved. Pool could use some cleaning, but otherwise this was a wonderful location.

Unterkunft in die Jahre gekommen. Könnte mehr Pflege vertragen und auch Sauberkeit.
Der Ausblick ist grandios. Auch die Nähe zum Tarcales Fluss und Carara NP ist sehr gut.
Würden hier jedoch nicht noch einmal übernachten

Very quiet and peaceful. Lots of birds. Accommodations was perfect

We loved this property so much! We spent one night at this location while travelling between Puntarenas and Manuel Antonio National park. Unit had everything we needed and was spacious. There was even a kitchen, which if we had stayed multiple days we would have used this for sure! We took a swim in the pool in the evening and it was a great infinity pool.

I think our favourite part was the patio /view. We spent a lot of time outside in the evening and morning. The large tree directly in front of our unit had Scarlet Macaws in it and seeing them in the morning was incredible!

Staff was wonderful and bed / room was cozy.

Highly recommend staying here!

Spent the 1st of our 3 weeks in Costa Rica here. Quiet place to unwind. Incredible view of the Gulf of Nicoya with the most bird activity we've seen so far in a stunning tree out front... Macaws, Toucans, Parrots and lots of smaller birds as well. A refreshing little pool. Requires a vehicle to get anywhere. The owners live right there and are very responsive to any needs. Highly recommend!!!

Dine, I hope I spelled that correctly, was very friendly and helpful. She told us that if we got up at dawn we might see scarlet macaws outside our room. Not only did we see macaws but toucans as well. We would have stayed another night but she had no availability but we are going back for another night in a week.

Most beautiful view looking out to the ocean! Host was great, helped line up taxis for us.

The property was clean and quiet, located away from the town center. The owner was very friendly and communication was great. She provided us with a location via whatsapp which made it very easy to find the place. The room had a small kitchenette and air conditioning which was very helpful. The landscaping around the pool was beautiful and the view of the bay was amazing.

This property has a spectacular view looking straight down the entire Gulf of Nicoya which you can enjoy from the infinity pool just steps from your room. It is 10 minutes from Carara National Park and Crocodile/wildlife boat tours on the Tarcoles River. And Dinnette (sp?) is a very wonderful and gracious host. Note the property is up a private street directly off of Highway 34, as shown on Google Map, but there is no sign marking the property at the turnoff. The property is at the end of the road with no sign identifying it. But it is a real find!

Établissement certes difficile à trouver avec googlemap mais très agréable ! Accueil très convivial. Chambre très sympa, ménage très soigné et la vue du lit donnant sur la piscine, les fleurs et la mer est grandiose. Nous recommandons grandement !

I was unable to find the property! By there instructions or by GPS. I was brought to a improvised area and a run down area. There was no number to contact them and I was not able to reach Expedia. I would like a refund. I also had to drive all the way to San Jose and pay full price for a hotel room.

A comfortable clean and nicely designed room next to the pool with a fantastic view. Easy to pass hours on the shady veranda. Close to town but not in it, not far from calm Playa Mantas. And Elisa and her dog were very welcoming and helpful. We will go again while to or from San Jose airport.
