This hotel is definitely not five star worthy! The room was connected to another (only separated by a door that was locked). I could hear everything that was happening next door - every footstep! Everything! Awful! This aspect of the room / hotel was definitely not specified on the booking! As well as this there was no mini fridge, the bath robes were not that comfy and the bed / bedding was definitely not up to stratch / five star worthy! At best it's a three star standard hotel! Extremely disappointing!! Will not be staying here again!! For the price it is absolutely not worth it!

Location makes it a perfect place of refuge for exploring Melbourne
Pros:

Hotel was just a short walk from the entertainment area of South Bank and the convention center are within easy reach for exploring Melbourne. The property offered a historic respect for the city's past. Decor was understated and blended in. The atmosphere was more of a business and lifestyle concept. Floor to ceiling windows gives your room an airy feeling. My room on the 18th floor had generous space on either side of the bed. Housekeeping did a great job in making my room inviting after a day of exploring.

Lovely family stay
Pros:

Lovely stay with our almost 1 year old. Staff were very friendly and the hotel is beautiful but also very toddler safe in the room. We enjoyed the pool and the use of the gym. The restaurant was good and so was the Cafe.

Great location and value
Pros:

Had a lovely stay here.
Rooms are a good size with everything you need. Would have preferred a fridge rather than a cooler though.
Great pool area, daughter loves it.
For those who enjoy the gym, it was fully equipped.
Restaurant up top provides great views especially at sunset. Happy hour 3-6pm.
Breakfast was great.
Location to all the main things in Melbourne is fab.
Would happily stay again.

Great service and location
Pros:

Great location and excellent service from the staff. Rooms are very modern, clean. Bath area provides less privacy than we are accustomed to, with frosted glass doors that do not reach floor or ceiling on toilet and shower. This would not stop us from staying here again because the staff are wonderful!

Extremely good hotel. Would definitely stay again. Close to trams, railway line and entertainment.
Pros:

We booked a mystery weekend away and were lucky enough to get to stay at Hyatt Centric. Very friendly and helpful staff who made us feel very welcome. The room was clean and spacious and housekeeping were very thorough. The checkin staff were extremely good at their job and made us feel welcome. The restaurant staff were exceptionally attentive and the food was scrumptious.
