Pros:

The location was great, very central and easy to get to other landmarks within Melbourne via trams.
The staff was amazing at swapping me to a different room and replacing the pillows.

Cons:

The cleanliness was disappointing - the bathroom had hair lying around in the sink, and even when I moved rooms the i noticed that the pillow cases weren't changed and I could smell someone's body odour on it which was appalling for a 5 star hotel.

Okay for a night, but don’t stay any longer
Pros:

Loved the swimming pool, and also the breakfast breakfast restaurant – staff and food were fantastic

Cons:

The room is small for a Hyatt, the bed is very hard, and the pillows are the worst I have ever slept on in any hotel. We requested different pillows and they were just as bad. The Aircon in the room is really inconsistent, so you were either roasting or freezing.

The location of this hotel is reasonably central but not a very nice area and no view. The noise from the train going past constantly is very obtrusive.

Great find with lovely staff and lovely rooms
Pros:

The staff were lovely and greeted us with excitement and warmth. Seemed genuinely interested in making our stay enjoyable. The decor was very on trend without being pretentious. The room we stayed in was the Alexander suite, it was huge! The bed was great, on the firmer side.
We stayed there as we were going to a concert at Marvel stadium, which was walking distance.

Cons:

A bit further from the centre of town where the nice bars and restaurants are, but easy enough to get a tram!

Great modern facilities with homage to Melbourne City in the layout and design of the hotel.
Pros:

We stayed in the suite and it had ample space in the living, dining and bedroom. The facilities were amazing, the swimming pool is on another level of how it was designed and thought out. The gym had a great variety of cardio/weight training and level 25 had amazing views where breakfast as well as the bar is situated.

Cons:

2 things and honestly not big issues to sway my decision of staying here again but within the suite specifically the powder room’s basin tap is extremely long in comparison to where the sink ends and whenever you wash your hands, there is marginal space for you to fit your hands under which causes splashing right out of the basin.

Second is the shower head, you’d think for a hotel with of this calibre or even within the suite room’s there would be a rain shower but no, just a standard adjustable wall shower head. Again, not a big deal but I’m 6”2 and the higher you adjust the shower head, the less of an angle you can get to actually have a decent coverage of water. You would think at the very minimum there would be rain shower.

A Little Decline In Cleanliness...
Pros:

Room had lovely view and staff were welcoming. Close to CBD.

Cons:

Bandaids in the pool. Pool area generally untidy with dust and hair in the reclining seated area. Corridors not vacuumed properly - dust build up and hair around the edges. Bed sheet was not made or tucked in. I stay every year, and it is usually immaculate - a little decline in cleanliness. Still a beautiful hotel.

Worst hotel experience ever
Pros:

Location was great

Cons:

Very different from the other Hyatt hotels i have been to.
The customer service wasn't great, the rooms were not properly cleaned and the quality of the towels in the bathroom is so bad.
Some 4 star hotels are way better.
Not worth the price and shouldn't be a 5 star hotel.
