Pros:

Decent location and bed was very large in the room we had.

Cons:

Did not feel welcome as a foreign tourist.

Held up at breakfast and told we had to wait whilst watching 4 parties of the same size that were native Japanese walk in without a wait.

Large tax payment required on arrival (read the small print).

Booked for two guests, requested late checkout for both - only one room granted so we had to move everything into that room on our last day.

My favorite stay in Kyoto
Pros:

Location was excellent, loved the amenities such as face masks and bath salts, and the classes and demonstrations including classical music in the lobby. The staff were understanding when my daughter became sick and granted us late checkout for 3000 yen. Very clean and comfortable.

どのスタッフさんも明るく元気に迎えてくださって、旅先で疲れた心身が、それだけで軽くなり、ほっと一息つけたかなと思います。その前に、エントランスが3階でしたが、実は、最初はホームページの説明などで、わかっていてもここで間違っていないよね？と、少しドキドキして入りました。

Cons:

良くないというわけではないですが。ラウンジが便利で、２回利用させていただきました。抹茶のケーキがとてもおいしく、家族で皆一口いただいたのですが、おいしさ故、出た途端に列ができて、すぐに品切れになっておりました。自分がいた20分間の間にその現象が、何回も繰す
り返しありまして、落ち着かない空間になりました。これが目当ての方が圧倒的に多いのだと思います。スタッフの方も出すタイミングを計っておられましたし、大変そうでした。既存のナッツやクッキーなどだけでも、お茶請けには良いのでは？とか思ってしまいました。ちなみに、うちのこどもたちはこどもの日にちなんでいた袋に入っていたボーロが、一番よかったと申して
おりました。

Love this hotel!
Pros:

Amazing atmosphere, big rooms and large beds!! Very nice lounge and restaurant. Close to market, river, old town. I will recommend to everyone!
