The first day the room was not cleaned until after lunch time, probably it would be best if done in the mornings. The next day it was cleaned before 9 am which was a surprise based on the previous day's experience.
Prachtige historisch gebouw
Check in procedure was wat rommelig door mijn late aankomst, maar had beter gekund!
The hotel is located in the heart of Casco Viejo, a historic old town in Panama. Many beautiful shops, restaurants, cafes, and small shopping stalls are nearby. There are still many old buildings that are empty and in need of renovation. However, most of the buildings that are completely renovated and occupied are beautiful. The hotel is beautiful. Everyone was welcoming, especially the front desk staff. Kudos to Rafael and Kanutsya (sorry if I didn't spell the name correctly) for providing excellent customer service. We arrived early in the morning around 7:00 a.m., but K made the check-in seamless. No rooms were available at the moment, but she assured us that she would check housekeeping and let us know as soon as possible. Kudos to Carlos, the driver who picked us up at the airport. He was friendly and professional. The transportation was Wi-Fi ready, so he ensured we were able to connect. The ride to the hotel was smooth and relaxing. We had breakfast at the restaurant, and the food was excellent and delicious. There was plenty to choose from. All the restaurant staff were very pleasant and attentive. After breakfast our room was ready and we were able to rest a little bit before our tour starts. The guys at the hotel front were friendly and not pretentious. We visited the Haris restaurant for our complementary drinks; however, we didn't feel welcome as the staff member Allison had a kind of rude tone of voice and didn't smile. It was a horrible experience at the beginning. Fortunately, we met a fellow traveler and started chatting, and we ended up staying longer at the restaurant. The Haris restaurant is beautifully decorated with a Mexican theme. We also visited the French bar and had a wonderful time there on our last night. The staff were friendly and attentive. The room was quite small, especially because of the large desk and chair in front of the bed. There was barely enough space to walk. The bed and bedding were luxurious; it made you want to stay in bed all day long. The bathroom was good-sized with good shower pressure. We loved that the toiletries were Molton Brown products, which we love. The hotel grounds/courtyard were beautifully landscaped and inviting with some mango trees. Even though our room backed up to the street, it was pretty quiet. Our room had a balcony, but we didn't get to enjoy it much since we were only there for two nights. If we come back to Panama, which we will, we will stay again at this hotel for a few more nights. Overall the hotel was cleaned and smells good as you enter the lobby and the room. For the value, it's quite on the high end and it's comfortable on a shoulder season.
Beautiful property great location, pool, room was fantastic
Lack of drinking water available for bottle refills
Great. Sublime experience. Service by Barbara at the Front Desk, Angel at the Restaurant, and Karen from the Spa made us feel more at home than our home itself. Lovely everything.
We were greeted with a warm reception and smile from Yatzu. She was able to assist my family to be placed on the same floor after we were assigned different floors. All along she assured us that it was going to be fine. Staying on the same floor afforded us to watch the grandchildren and not have to leave the floor. I loved the different architecture design of the rooms. Simply beautiful. Complimentary full breakfast was a special treat to add to this fabulous piece of history/property.
Alisson also assisted me with my multiple excursions. She even made a call with her personal cell to assist me with the local guide. Exceptional customer concierge service!!
From start to finish this is the only place to stay in the old part of Panama City. The people, the facility, the restaurants, the decor, it all adds up to the perfect place to stay. We opted for a nearby hotel the first time and it was nice but nothing compared to La Compania.
I had a wonderful stay at Hotel La Compañía Casco Antiguo. The property is beautiful, full of character, and the staff consistently provided warm and attentive service throughout our visit. The complimentary breakfast each morning was also a standout and something we genuinely looked forward to.
What made the trip especially memorable, however, was discovering the hotel through the20ninth. Attending the events they hosted — including those held at the hotel — was the highlight of our time in Panama City. The combination of the hotel’s atmosphere and the thoughtfully curated experiences by the20ninth created an unforgettable trip.
We would gladly stay again and highly recommend the hotel to anyone visiting Casco Viejo.
Incredible hotel with so much history right in the heart of casco viejo with lovely amenities, restaurants, and a rooftop pool. The rooms were immaculate with comfortable beds!
The atmosphere is so special, so relaxing. The rooms are spacious and beautiful. Everything is very clean and quiet. You only hear the nature that surrounds you. The service is perfect, very nice people. The location is something to see, in the mountains, with a different climate compared to the city or to the beaches. The amenities are great, the pool area is so zen, and the decoration is something you see nowhere else.
The Hotel La Compañia at the Casco Viejo is an exceptional hotel with amazing service. The work done by the ownership to recreate a work of art is nothing short of exemplary. The accommodations are wonderful, so many great restaurants, and the rooftop bar and pool bar/lounge is also amazing. The grounds are beautiful and lastly the staff is outstanding.
An incredible hotel with great location, tons of amenities and a very helpful staff. Would recommend and return
Fabulous historic hotel in a historic part of Panama City. Many fabulous restaurants and the Exilio bar was very fun. We will definitely return!
Many restaurant options.
Super location, everything is walking distance from this hotel.
Amazing interior and stunning courtyard garden. Lots of history hidden in this property. I loved it.
Thank you Bryan for your assistance upon my arrival.
Un des plus bel hôtel au monde. Et de magnifiques plats au restaurant El Sanctuario
Qualité des vins au verre assez médiocre et vins d’Amérique du Sud sous représentés.
Beautiful Hotel with great history.
Excellent rooms and great breakfast
Everything!!!
