Clean and Comfortable ! We will stay again in the future !
Pros:

The front desk associate was professional, helpful and friendly. Beds great ! Cleanliness A+. Breakfast associate kind and helpful , kept everything stocked. Oatmeal was delicious.

Cons:

Need more protein options for breakfast.

Pleasant stay, would recommend.

Breakfast didn't seem to be covered well. There seemed to be only one employee working there. Items were out, cold, the garbage cans were overflowing.

Chose Mariott over the multiple hotels in the area for the amenities & newness- disappointed!
Pros:

Bed was comfy, breakfast was appreciated.

Cons:

Tv didn't work, partner took the remote to the front desk. He was told it was likely the batteries, but no batteries in the building. Then he realized it was a 'maintence remote' and the TV was down for some time. Why sell the room with no TV? The toilet had dried poop in the bowl. After several flushes it still didn't go away. We stayed one night, but chose not to take showers as we had concerns of the actual cleanliness of the entire room. The hotel was "full" or he would've given us another room (parking lot was empty) and a $25 credit was offered as that's all he could provide. Haven't seen that yet but would appreciate more.

Too expensive and the bed was not comfortable.
Pros:

Location was good.

Cons:

I was there 2 nights and they never cleaned or made my bed after the first night. The sheets were terrible- they kept coming off of the bed because they didn’t fit right.

The room was missing furniture, curtain coming off the rod and the bathroom wasn't clean. We have been staying there since oit opened and it just keeps getting worse.

Horrible staff
Pros:

Our door wouldn't open and the TV was broke. Was told we could get $10 refund, we asked to be switched to another room. Was told despite being no where near full, they had no other rooms with working TV's. We canceled ask for a refund and left and went to another hotel. We are still attempting to get our refund....

We enjoyed our stay at Marriott Fairfield Inn & Suites in Clear Lake, IA!
Hotel had “new appearance” & check in process was smooth even though we added 2nd night’s stay. The thing that we didn’t enjoy was the complimentary breakfast, fruit should be replaced more often, minor issue but heard others express the same sentiments. Overall, stay was was nice & would recommend to family and friends! Thank you! 😊

Pros:

Our television didn’t work and they were unable to do anything because they had no maintenance. The person at the front desk had no power and they couldn’t move us because they didn’t have any housekeeping. My husband and I then figured out that the whole wall of outlets (with the television, lamps, other outlets) had a fuse blown. The general manager said she was going to credit our account and it’s three weeks later and we haven’t seen anything except an extra $30 charge come out. Won’t go back. Don’t go until they work out the bugs

Pros:

When we checked in we were told many of the rooms had non-working tv's. We were asked if we wanted a tv, and we said yes. Got to room, tv did not work. Tried to call front desk to ask for another room, phone did not work. Called hotel from my cellphone and asked for another room. They said they could move us for our 2nd night. The next morning we moved to another room, and the front desk clerk personally checked it to be sure tv worked. It was on when we got there, but when we changed channel, it quit working. Also, no second mirror in the first room. Only about 10 tissues in the both rooms, and my allergies were acting up, so used toilet paper. Very disappointed. Highest priced hotel in Clear Lake, and no offer to discount room for no tv.

Front desk not knowledable about charging 3rd person!! Because of this huge mess I have decided to NEVER book 3rd party

Parking was adequate

Cons:

Rooms bare of pictures, extra furniture and NO ventilation in bathroom so ALL windows and mirrors fogged constantly. Buckets in lobby for rain drips!!

Pros:

Stayed as a long time Bonvoy member. Fairfield always my go to. Dependable. Not this time or this location. TVs don’t work, wires hanging everywhere from tv, bathrooms need a deep clean, red/pink mold in shower. Parts broken off in shower. Felt more like a budget hotel experience not a $200 room.
