The best hotel in Cape Town and my favourite place to stay in the Mother City
Pros:

Very clean, has a great gym, restaurant food is also extremely good and offers great value. Location is super central and the real bonus is brilliant staff. One of the hidden gems in Cape Town hospitality and also economical and not over priced and ripping off customers like most places in Cape Town

Cons:

I love everything about the property and that’s why I always stay there

I was very tired and the bed was nice. Very goid breakfast . Would change the carpets and definitely the bathroom door t

Location close to the hospital

Cons:

The lift very small and the carpets smells moldy. The shower you can not climb in because of the bathroom door i had to push through and bump my knee.

There was no phone in our room to call at recption & I called with my phone three times asking for a working iron as the one in my room was leaking. The Iron never came

The hotel is very visually appealing— the lobby, the staircase, the rooftop. But the actual guest experience falls well
Pros:

The location and it looks impressive from outside

Cons:

Stayed here for a conference at the CTICC and deeply disappointed. The hotel looks stunning in photos — and that’s exactly where the experience peaks.
Privacy: My room faced directly into the KPMG office block. You have a wall of office workers staring into your room all day. Curtains stayed drawn the entire stay — completely defeats the purpose of having a window.
Amenities: For a property positioning itself as 4-star, being charged for basic toiletries like a vanity kit or an extra toothbrush is frankly insulting. These are standard inclusions at far more modest properties.
Noise: Traffic noise from the street penetrates the room noticeably. If you’re a light sleeper, manage your expectations.
Work setup: There is no proper desk and chair for laptop work — only a couch and low coffee table. For business and conference travelers, note this!
Overall: I would rate this hotel 3 star at best.
