Uniquely designed and perfectly different
Advertising ‘No Parking’ so booked car parking a short walk away…… there is loads of on street parking at the property…… please change you advert, you must be losing so much business by indicating that there is no parking at the property 🤷♂️
Liked the decor of the place; the bar was particularly cool. Wasn’t a bad location once we figured out where we were in Bristol. Great shower. Staff were nice.
Bathroom was a little unclean, still some hairs from shaving facial hair it seemed. Room was right by a hallway door that would shut loudly when let go, waking us up. Could hear the music from the bar underneath our room, semi-annoying but that is what it is.
Beautifully fit out
The furnishings were fun and original and the staff, while quite harassed, were friendly. There was a good and unusual selection of drinks and food in the minibar.
We were in a back room with a view of an office block. The room smelt vaguely fishy / of drains and there was a continuous humming noise during the night which might have originated from a generator or similar in the kitchen, which they must have extended over. The location is an odd one, tucked between a shopping centre and a rather sad residential area. This was disappointing for the price.
I loved the communal spaces, beautifully furnished and characterful. The art was a lovely feature. Enjoyed both the food in the restaurant and the breakfast.
We were disappointed with the size of the room in relation to the price. Honestly we expected a lot more, and checking the prices now - the junior suite was less than we actually paid.
Friendly, comfortable and a great location. Lots of attention to detail, with quality products. Bar has a great vibe. .
The Artist Residence is a really cool little boutique hotel. However, I reserved a Loft room that did not have a King Size bed as advertised. On Sunday morning there was no chef to cook breakfast until 10am. The photobooth was broken and there was no one at the hotel when we wanted to collect our baggage after spending the day exploring Bristol. Minor things perhaps, but a shame because would have otherwise been perfect.
Decor was beautiful
Nothing
Wonderful! Thank you for sorting out a plugged sink and for running an imaginative hotel. Your attention to detail and quality is exceptional.
Warm and welcoming hotel - with a relaxed vibe and excellent service - The location is great, the decor makes you feel at home, and the service is exceptional
I had a great experience at the Artist Residence. The team were very accommodating even before I arrived as I had to ask for help with an invoice and then they held on to my suitcase the day after so I didn't have to wander the city all day with them.
The location was a 20-minute walk from where my meeting was (near Beacon) and there are amazing restaurants close by. Really liked the area.
The room was quiet, comfy and I loved having the coffee machine right there in the mornings!
The only con of all my stay is that I wish the lighting could be a bit brighter in the room so I could do my make up better.
I'll definitely be staying again next time I'm in Bristol!
