My visit to Cape Town
Pros:

The staff, from the receptionists to the kitchen staff as well as housekeeping are all so friendly & welcoming. Their breakfast menu really caters for many. The rooms are exactly as seen in their photos. I also enjoyed the view from my room.

Cons:

Upon booking, I was asked to check-in online, which I did but upon arrival their systems hadn't alerted them. I almost had to refill the form again but the guy at reception quickly sorted it out after I explained that I had checked in online.

Great home for a few day stay
Pros:

Reasonably priced for what you get, great location in the city centre next to shops, clean, has all the necessary amenities inside the room. Everything works well

Cons:

The lady helping out at reception was very condescending and addressed us like children, however the gentlemen were great. The parking instructions could be communicated immediately after booking, we had to drive around the block several times waiting for the instructions. The parking is made in such a way that someone can park you in which was not convenient

Terrible I will not recommend Black Brick Foreshore
Pros:

Absolutely nothing

Cons:

Everything , That is why I called you guys and cancelled the rest of my booking after the first night. My reference number is 5333063562 I am awaiting my refund. I have booked another place through Booking.com

Well located, good facilities and good breakfast with room for improvement
Pros:

The breakfast was good with lots of variety
The hotel had lots of facilities, including a study and a few working desks, which was amazing as I was allowed to use whilst waiting for my room to be ready as I had meetings to take.

The people were amazing, from the receptionist, the cooks during breakfast… I loved that.

Cons:

The cleanliness could use some improvement. I was there for 3 nights, on some days I could see the prints from my shoes from the day before

Pros:

Staff were super friendly and accomodating.

Room price was fair.

Cons:

Initially had a room with a pipe in the bathroom that is excessively noisy - I was then placed in a new room, but this room had an off/chemical smell.

Area and hotel guests are noisy into early hours of the morning, and the rooms have no soundproofing.

Room standard feels like it has gone down since I visited in 2023 - definately needs a revive.

Blackbrick... this is a very special low. Will never use this hotel again.
Pros:

Staff were generally helpful, the breakfast was basic but fine and the hotel is located in a very central part of Capetown, within easy striking distance of many things.

Cons:

The AC in my first room was dripping water and the solution I was advised was to switch it off. When I insisted that I needed cooling, they moved me to another room, the smell in that room was so bad that I was choking on it. I eventually had to cut my stay short by two days and move to another hotel. The most annoying part is that the receptionist clearly knew about the odor in the room before moving me in there. I paid four full days, no refund. Will not be using Blackbrick every again.
