Pros:

Comfortable, well located and homely
Pros:

I felt very welcomed by the staff and they were always helpful with any request during my stay. My room was very comfortable and clean but next time I visit you I should book a room with a bit of a view

Cons:

I'm not bothered by this but it did strike me as a little odd that when I arrived, my friend and I were offered a cocktail but as I don't drink alcohol I wasn't offered anything at all, even water. Guess I could have asked for it myself. A couple more Gluten Free options for in-room dining would have been helpful too. Also, when I asked for recommendations of things to visit or restaurants to visit, the staff didn't really have any ideas to share

Lives up to its name a luxury hotel, well situated to explore Hobart.
Pros:

This hotel is perfectly located to explore Hobart and the surrounding areas of interest, including the CBD, docklands and Salamanca. The hotel interior is beautifully done and well maintained with a feeling of luxury throughout. Food and beverages at the in hotel dining options (wine bar, lounge and restaurant) were absolutely wonderful but came with a high price tag, so we explored other options around the area as well. The room was comfortable and well appointed and featured smart controls for lights and blinds. The staff at all levels were amazing and nothing was too much trouble.

Cons:

I don't think the buffet breakfast was as good as others we've had in similar hotels (of comparable price) and so looked outside for other options. Needed to book way in advance for restaurant so missed out a second chance to eat there as they were fully booked.

Beautiful hotel let down by street noise and design details
Pros:

Very nice hotel overall. The location is excellent, and the rooms are modern, comfortable, and well designed. The room acoustics were also good - I could barely hear any noise from neighbouring rooms, aside from the occasional toilet flushing.

Overall, it's a great hotel in a fantastic location, but there are a few design and acoustic issues that could be improved.

Cons:

The main downside was the street noise. We stayed on Level 2 and despite the two layers of glazing (heritage and modern), it was not acoustic glazing and its acoustic performance from outside wasn't great. Around 3am on Saturday morning, when the nearby pubs closed, the street noise was loud enough to wake me up, and I struggled to get back to sleep making the next day difficult to stay awake.

The lobby felt a very awkward in both its layout and fitout, especially compared to the rest of the hotel, which has a much more cohesive and attractive interior design. You don't feel like you have arrived when you enter the lobby, there is clutter and no high bench at the entry. Staff are tucked around the corner and seated at a standard height desk meaning that the staff are not very approachable and welcoming. The entry ramp and a wide column dominates the arrival. It needs flowers or something uplifting to focus your attention and make it a more uplifting experience.

One thing to be aware of is the bathroom privacy on the lower levels. It's possible to see directly into the bathrooms from outside, so you'll need to keep the blinds down most of the time if you want privacy. This could have been addressed to allow light inside and privacy from outside.

Finally, while the room was very nice overall, some of the joinery felt a bit cheap. The wardrobe door was awkwardly positioned, as it collided with the entry door when both were open and as a consequence was chipped and didn't close properly.
