Pros:

Loved the styling and quirkiness of my large room. Love that the bathroom was in one of the old bank vaults with its original steel door.

The bed and bedding was comfortable and towels and toiletries were supplied and a nice quality.

Generally the room and fire doors throughout the property dont close with a jarring or sleep disturbing 'bang' like in many hotels.

Out of hours access easy, well thought out and explained at check in.

Cons:

Specific to Room 12..
The floors were stripped floorboards and I felt (even if it wasn't flagged as a problem) that noisy footsteps, would transmit to the occupants below.

The wndow blinds make the room private and dark. But wont provide total black out if you are a light sleeper particularly during short Summer Nights.

Nothing to do with the hotel, but resident gulls are very vocal. If its hot weather and you need the windows open ( limited opening for safety) .the noise of the gulls disturbed my sleep. I live in Bexhill and thought I was used to the blighters!!

Avoid at all costs
Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Everything - Do not book here. Property was closed but was showing available on booking.com
Ended up receiving credit back but a very difficult few hours of turning up to a property that ONLY lets you check in between 2-5pm (who does that this day and age?!)
— and finding out the property is close-shut!
Luckily found a cleaner who pointed me to a different hotel.. but if not i would have been stuck there without any information.
Also nobody picks up the phone!

Good value hotel on the sea front
Pros:

Price and location were good. I needed a good value local hotel - this met the need.

Cons:

Limited time the hotel is staffed, with added limitation of staff sickness meant the Bistro was not open on the Saturday.

Pleasant enough for a short stay.
Pros:

Comfy clean bed and bathroom.

Cons:

The shower head didn’t hold properly in the holder and kept slipping down.
Check in time of before 5pm was rather early for a hotel!

Wonderful room with stunning sea view
Pros:

The location of this hotel is just perfect, and the beautiful sea view room was absolutely wonderful.

I loved the decor and cleanliness and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect stay.

There was even a little table with space for me to work, all with a sea view.

I’ll definitely stay again next time I’m in the area.
