Hotel was centrally located. Staff was friendly. Room was spacious with a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Could have used a better pillow? Breakfast was included and was a decent buffet. No complaints that I can think of.
I stayed a week here with the most wonderful room overlooking the street Easy walking to everywhere needed Great staff Cant recommend highly enough
1. There is no lift
2. The room has a sewage smell which they attempt to mask with artificial smelling perfume
3. The terrace is locked but they will open it and accompany you if you want a photo (great views)
4. Breakfast was good. You must pay if you want a second coffee.
Given that we paid $200 US a night, we would not recommend. We suggest you stay just outside the old city.
An excellent hotel in the heart of Baku. We had a fantastic stay. Close to the sea promenade and all the must sees in the old town. The view of the flame towers from our terrace was amazing.
The breakfast was delicious and staff met us with a friendly smile every morning.
We can strongly recommend the restaurant as well. They serve a high quality taste of the Azerbaijan cuisine.
.A diamond in the old city of Baku. Beautifull small boutique Hotel, old nice building, very big and nice rooms, very good breakfast, and above all, amazing , great and very co-operative staff, always help, with a smile. Due to the fact that the hotel is in old stylish house, there is no elevator, however the bell boy will always will be happy to help. Great stay in Baku, mostly recommended. Tzachi & Hava Kupperman
While the hotel itself was clean and locates in decent location, our stay in September was marred by poor service and miscommunication.
During breakfast, I ordered a cappuccino. While the waiter was attentive and provided good service throughout the meal, he failed to inform me that the cappuccino wasn't included in the breakfast set. This seemed to be due to a language barrier, as his English was limited.
Upon checkout, the receptionist insisted on charging 9.9 ANZ for the cappuccino. Despite explaining the waiter's oversight, she demanded the full amount. As we were in a hurry to leave, she couldn't even provide the 0.1 ANZ change and took 10 ANZ.
The waiter, realizing his mistake, kindly offered a refund, which I declined as I felt he was not at fault. However, the receptionist's unapologetic and inflexible attitude about the entire situation left a negative impression. This lack of communication and understanding from the front desk staff was unacceptable.
I won't be returning to Art Club Hotel and wouldn't recommend it due to this disappointing experience.
The service was exceptional and the food was delicious. I was wandering in the old city and saw their sign. I had heard they were good and I wasn’t disappointed. Even though my Azerbaijani ls basically non existent, It was easy to communicate with the staff who spoke some English. Highly recommend.
The breakfast itself is pretty good, the food is delicious, but service is questionable. We’ve paid for the breakfasts in advance and the first two days everything was fine. On the last day of our stay in turned out (according to the waiter) that we have been run out of our breakfast limit (what?!). Surprisingly for us, we were told that drinks (cappuccino and orange juice - not freshly squeezed) were out of breakfast limit paid. The fair question is: why we were informed about it only on the last day of our stay?
Ok, we agreed to pay for the drinks. In addition, they appeared to be outrageously overpriced! Of course there is no menu and nobody showed us the real prices of the drinks.
That totally ruined the overall good impression of our stay here. Stupid mistake which can ruin the effort of the other staff.
The staff in this hotel are what makes it 5 star. Polite, respectful and so helpful.
Huge room, spotlessly clean. Big bathroom and huge shower
Had breakfast once, great value but far too much.
My wife was unwell for most of the 12 days but they looked after us so well. Was stuck in bed for 4 days and in room 6 days.
Lots of hot water. Towels and bedding could be better but no big deal.
Could feel a bit noisy at times as sound travelled far due to building design. Not excessive though and never too late.
Cleaning staff were exceptional and so kind. Always ampke towels, water and toiletries. Thank you
Location great. Right in centre of old town Short walk to Icherisheher metro station. Couple of steps into the centre.
Great being in an old walled part of city. Beatiful parks and streets were spotless.
Unfortunately a couple of days into our 12 day stay my wife took ill and was room bound for 5 days. She can therefore vouch totally for this review.
The staff are just brilliant. So kind, respectful and helpful. They stood up at reception every time we appeared (reminded me of my early days in nursing when the matron arrived on the ward)
The lady who cleaned our room was a total star (sorry I do not know your name)
My wife was in bed for 4 days so could not have room cleaned.
However she came and topped up water, towels, toilet rolls etc and empathised with my wife's predicament, offering good advice.
We had breakfast on day 1. It was excellent but too much to have every day. All for only 20 manate (£9 ) each
Absolutely huge room, loads of toiletries.
Towels could be better, but no big deal
Spotlessly clean
Lovely big bathroom with huge shower
Massive bed which sheets struggled to fit.
Table and chairs
Great air conditioning
Balcony where we both sat the last couple of days. Great spot for nosing!
Could be noisy at times due to the style of the building and noise travelling far and some noise from street. Nothing too bad though and never after 11pm. We probably noticed it more as spent a long time more in room
On departure our taxi did not turn up due to misunderstanding. The young lady on reception tried hard to sort it. However when she offered the hotel transfer for 50 manat we chose that. So comfy and very safe driver
Thanks
All in all a fantastic hotel with just the best staff. Will always be thankful of how kind, respectful and helpful they were.
Will never forget the kindness of our cleaning lady especially.
Thank you so much
Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of historical Old Town with its own restaurant and art gallery. Walking distance to many restaurant options to try out national cousins which is out of this world delicious. It is also a walking distance to the sea promenade, museums and shopping malls.
Art Club Hotel is a gem in the heart of Old City! It was such an amazing experience! The room was so big & bright, very clean & smelled nice with a super comfortable bed. Everything in the room seemed brand new. The balcony was so cute with the table and 2 chairs and a nice view of Old City. The location was just perfect! It was so quiet and peaceful too. All the staff in the hotel was super friendly and nice and ready to help right away with anything. Special thank you to Ruslan and the girl (sorry I forgot the name) at the reception desk and Nikolay at the restaurant! I will recommend this hotel to everybody who comes to Baku for sure. This is one of my favorite places I've ever stayed at!
Hotel location was perfect, staff were so friendly and helpful, room was just perfect.. great experience
Ein super netter Empfang, wunderschöne Zimmer und tolles Personal
Really friendly and helpful staff who will cater for all your needs. We didn’t use the restaurant as there are so many local cafes nearby. Location is excellent as it’s within the old city and close to local sights and the metro for getting around.
