This hotel is a good deal in terms of price.
The view from the room was nice, the breakfast choices as well.
It was just surprising to find out that the hotel is part of a mall on the main road… I was expecting something smaller in a more natural environment.

Traveling with 2 kids we had to pay 150 aed to have 1 extra bed in our room. This extra bed mattress was hard as wood (and probably it was a wooden mattress), the least comfortable extra bed he ever had. The kids didn’t accept to sleep in it.
Second thing, the room and bathroom were not perfectly clean. We found some fruits seeds near the bathroom sink.
But what I didn’t like the most is about sustainability.
1/ There is very cold AC is the corridor which is actually an open air area with a shade on top. What a waste of energy to cool down an open air area, especially during this winter season when the weather is not warm.
2/ Cutleries and glasses (tea / coffee cups) at the breakfast were all plastic/single use. Please, switch to normal washable cutleries instead of disposable ones, it’s better for the environment. Thanks!

Pros:

Great location. Noisy rooms as the guest house is situated in a shopping centre. Staff very helpful though to change our room. Wadi Rock restaurant at the back has great food and views. Decent breakfast on a nice terrace. Hatta Dam closed until 2 Feb; nature reserve closed; no water in Green Lake. Swan Lake? Don’t bother! Hill Park was actually open and nice.
