We found hairballs on the floor, the tv didn’t work, and the staff had a bit of an attitude.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and the room upgrades are nice, but seems a little expensive still for what it is. But it is a convenient location for us spending time in Leelanau County and it was during high fall season traffic.

Beautiful hotel and rooms. Was some confusion about the smoking policy and being to smoke outside on the rooms patio.

While the hotel itself has been redone and is nice the billing process is very deceptive.
We were double billed and overcharged on our Visa without our knowledge. Please be very careful.

I booked a one night stay thru the Leelanau hotel web site for August 27, 2025. We decided to stay two nights. I cancelled the one night stay thru their cancellation process on their web site. I took a screen shot of this with my phone verifying it.

I then made a reservation thru hotels.com for two nights. The rate was $225 a night for two nights and I received a confirmation from hotels.com, totaling $477.00 I chose to pay at the hotel and not the pay ahead button, big mistake. . When we checked out, we were charged $250 a night, the hotel's normal rate, totaling $530.00. I told them it was wrong and I had a verifying confirmation email. She told me, too bad, take it up with hotels.com. I did, hotels.com called the hotel to try to rectify the overcharge. The hotel refused.

Then the biggest surprise. The single night reservation that I made and cancelled showed up on my Visa bill. They never mentioned this when we were checking in.
So what should have cost us $477.00 for two nights thru hotels.com wound up costing us $530.00 for the two night stay and then an additional $238.00 for a reservation that I cancelled. I have disputed this with my credit card company, still waiting on response. I have called Leelanau Lodge. You can only leave a message on the manager's phone, have not heard back.
There was a previous review where another reviewer was almost overcharged so I did keep all my records but when they have your Visa number you are screwed.

Great place to stay, newly updated rooms. Close to everything in the peninsula. Downfall, the bed was awful. We would have been better off sleeping on the floor.

Rooms are updated. Very clean and modern looking. Beds are comfy, balcony is great for the views. Casino buyins are getting pricey, making it hard to want to gamble.

Very nice and clean hotel. Beds are comfortable but the pillows are terrible, and I forgot to bring my own. Nice patio to sit outside.

We were happy with the hotel .The queen beds were very small,but comfortable friendly staff .mice stay fairly priced.
