Best Inn Motel

The outside of the hotel gave us a tiny bit of pause. There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn’t like we normally would stay in. The entrance wasn’t even clearly marked. BUT, once we got inside, I’m not sure we’ve ever stayed anywhere as clean - including places that were 3 or 4 times the cost. The room and the shower were exceptionally nice. The staff was super friendly and helpful. We will definitely return.

Fantastic place to stay!

A throw back to the days of road trips with your parents. I will start with the positive. The room was only $60 a night. You park right outside your room which is very convenient for unloading and loading. In general the room was very clean (see exception below). The desk staff were very nice.
Negative aspects: first this hotel is not close to anything in Salina. Not even a gas station! Since there is no breakfast service, it makes it very inconvenient. The coffee machine is only on from 3 am to 10 am, which means that if you drink tea in the evening, like I do, there is no hot water.
The motel sits very close to the road, so traffic noise is a real problem. Coupled with the very noisy air conditioner, it made sleeping, as well as watching TV, a challenge.
The bathroom smelled moldy, which turned out to be the mold on the shower curtain and in between the fiberglass inserts. The towels were extremely thin and you were only allotted two. Probably could have asked at the desk for more, but we didn't. The bottom of the bathroom door was water damaged and needed replacing. And there were no towel bars and only one hook on the back of the door. Wireless phone chargers were by each side of the bed, which is great if you have a phone that can utilize them. One USB port was also on each side of the bed. Extra outlets were not near the bed, which made us glad we brought extension cords for our CPAPs and other devices. We won't be staying here again next time we do the Smokey Hill Riverfest. But if you don't mind a no frills motel stay at a very reasonable rate, you will like this.

Paint was up to date, nice white tile floors.
Logical switches, refigerator and microwave.

The room was very nice, and had everything for a good night’s stay. The front desk has limited hours, but managed to help us even though we arrived after hours.
