Giraffe Beach Hotel

Slayed at this beautiful beachfront property just for a night but was impressed with it's natural inviting beauty.

The view of the ocean and the hotel grounds was breathtaking!
The staff were also super helpful!

The staff was great. Irene at the front desk was fantastic. So friendly and helpful. She gave me a fruit tray when I was sick. She arranged all of my transport. So nice. Dorcas and Ritha were excellent too. Thomas, a waiter at the restaurant was superb. Mpendo was an excellent housekeeper. Elizabeth was a very good housekeeper too. The food was great at the restaurant, the beach was very nice. My room was really spacious and quiet.

Great hotel that we continue to use whenever in the area. Love the floral garden and beachfront views.

Great hotel

We were agroup of 5, enjoyed our stay for 8 nights. The hotel was safe, quiet and convenient to most places we needed to visit in Dar Esalaam. We loved the cleanliness of the rooms & hotel in general, a great working AC and having a safe in each room. Breakfast was great, just needs different varieties on different days to avoid monotony (especially when staying for long). We met amazing and helpful staff. Maruzuku and Diana/trainee always welcomed us for breakfast with a smile. They trully love their job and made us feel welcomed. Revina and Kelvin gladly and promptly got whatever we needed especially at the poolside. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. Thank you Giraffe Hotel for making us feel at home away from home. We shall definately return.

Nice hotel

I wanted this place initially from the Expedia listing and the photos. Overall great place / we ended up back in the area and spent a couple nights here. Outdoor dining on the ocean/sea waterfront was great! Staff was excellent and we enjoyed the pool. The place needs some touch up / the rooms need an overhaul and it's obvious that the finishers in this place either didn't finish or the finish work failed in the rooms and other areas. Easily fixable. Would stay again.

The surrounding are so nice and relaxing, easy to get an Bolt if you want to go somewhere else. The pool area is to die for, beautiful pool, clean. I will absolutely come again. The rooms are nice, but I missed a wardrobe I was there for 2 weeks so it’s nice to be able to hang your clothes, payed for an upgrade (balcony) this room was very damp when I shut of the ac, and the doors for the balcony was almost impossible to open.
everything is very expensive, the kitchen forgot the sauce every time we ordered something and it didn’t matter what the menu said you’d get tartar sauce. It took me about 20-25 min to check out, and I got a huge bill for stuff I had not bought, I paid everything I bought emidietly, nothing on credit. He was nice about it and it got solved.
I recommend The Giraffe any day of the week just for its surroundings and pool

The staff were very nice and friendly. I would get a call every night asking if i needed anything and if everything was ok. The property is very clean and staff catered to my every need. My stay there was two weeks and I would definitely stay again.

Very nice property and was very pleasant.

Sunday afternoon hotel music level at the pool and restaurant area unbearable.
The beach is a dump. Never seen such a littered beach, including broken glass, in my life.

Great property. Great staff. Great management. One of my favorite places to get away and truly relax in all of Dar Es Salaam.You will not be disappointed.

Great location, although far from the airport.

giraffe hotel was recommended by a friend so we decided to stay there for one night because we were in town for a wedding. The curtains had stains, the floors hadn’t been cleaned and the toilet was leaking. The refrigerator didn’t work and the man came up to fix it, but did, not cool the entire night. When we came back from the wedding, there was a wedding at the hotel and the music was so loud. We were up until 2:30 in the morning.
The swimming pool looks lovely and the grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are substandard.

It was amazing. The staff made my bday memorable Latifah, Rita, Angela and Samwel were amazing
