Great location and amazing food based on local recipes and ingredients. Our server, Juan Castillo, was very nice and guided us through the whole experience in a very professional manner. We enjoyed very much both the atmosphere and the taste of the dishes

Location. Well appointed, has an exclusive atmosphere. Very attentive staff.
For a five star property we were generally disappointed, broken down mattress that had to be changed, hot water issues. Unacceptable.

Our group had the most phenomenal time at Sofitel for a girls weekend! The food was phenomenal and the drinks and service was excellent. But what really made our trip was the rooftop vibes and DJ Wolf! We looked all over Casco Viejo and no other rooftop or club had music like Ammi Skybar! In fact every night, we would come back to the rooftop after dinner for good music, great vibes and dancing. It was the energy the DJ put out every night that made our trip…

Hotel maravilhoso, com equipe gentilíssima e profissional, Quartos amplos, bem equipados e limpos. Roupa de cama e banho de primeira linha. Banheiro grande e funcional, com chuveiro ótimo. Piscina e áreas comuns deliciosas. Ambiente super agradável. Café de manhã excepcional (não é tipo buffet, você tem que escolher dentre as opções do cardápio, mas todas excelentes e muito bem servidas). Localização perto de todas as melhores atrações, lojas e restaurantes de Casco Viejo (é possível conhecer tudo a pé). Concierges prontos para nos ajudarem com os passeios e dicas. Só elogios para o Sofitel Legend.
Não gostei de o hotel ter um ar condicionado muito forte em todos os ambientes. Isso realmente nos incomodou demais. Tínhamos que sair agasalhados do quarto para andarmos pelas partes internas do hotel. Poderiam diminuir a temperatura do ar. Quando entrávamos no nosso quarto, ele estava geladíssimo e quando desligávamos o ar condicionado, acabava ocorrendo a condensação, o que deixava nosso quarto todo úmido e às vezes com o chão molhado. O problema só se resolveu quando pedimos para não ligarem mais o ar no nosso quarto, o que foi prontamente atendido pela equipe.

The hotel is still beautiful, and I love both the location and the surrounding area. The view of the water from my room was calming, and the room itself was lovely. The staff was attentive for the most part.
I stayed in Suite 450, which was excellent. It features a wraparound balcony with beautiful views of the Cinta Costera, making it a standout part of the experience.
However, housekeeping lacked attention to detail. I had to contact my butler several times because basic amenities that had run out—such as Q-tips, shower gel, coffee, and small towels—were not replenished. This raised concerns about the overall thoroughness of the housekeeping service, which could certainly be improved.
For a hotel at this level and price point, I would also expect a few additional touches. Offering complimentary fruit or flavored water in the lobby would enhance the guest experience, and lounge access for certain room categories would add value and better align with the luxury standards the hotel aims to provide.
Overall, the property remains beautiful and well-located, but greater consistency in housekeeping and a few upgraded amenities would make the experience feel more worthy of its premium pricing.
