No sleep
Pros:

The noise coming from water pipes kept us awake all through the night. For 160 pounds a night, I expect to be able to sleep. While staff tried to address the issue, it didn't work.

Pros:

Great location and close to the train station. Staff were attentive

Cons:

Noisy neighbour- there were a lot of German young boys making far too much noise in the morning and evening.
Staff door opposite our room was also noisy - might want to tighten the latches to prevent it from slamming

Decent-enough hotel when prices are normal. I would neither make a point of going back nor avoid it.
Pros:

Staff are friendly and helpful. Bed was comfortable.. Room was clean.

Cons:

The standard double room was - or seemed - smaller than, say, a Premier Inn standard double room. This might be an impression caused by the L-shape, but it did feel small.
Food was okay (pizza was best), but with little irritations like the "herb-dusted fries" being more like standard chips, even oven chips. This was Saturday night, and the restaurant wasn't exactly flooded with customers, so they shouldn't be down to back-up offerings.
Overall, this was a bank holiday weekend in a city, so I paid far more than the stay was worth.
