The location is great. Walking distance to many of the places we wanted to visit this time.
The staff at the front desk wasn't friendly or attentive. They didn't say anything mean or disrespectful but they were curt and a bit unpleasant. The cleaning staff were really helpful and seemed glad to have us there.
I had booked two nights at this hotel through my credit card travel service several weeks in advance. I arrived from Los Angeles on a Saturday afternoon. At check in I was told there was no hot water and if I decided to stay they would refund 40% for each night. I was tired, had an appointment in 2 hours and no time to look for an alternative. It was very hotcthat weekend in May, so I thought I'd cope with a couple of cold showers. I said they should inform guests before arrival when an inconvenience like lack of hot water occurs. All the front desk person could say was "I am sorry". Anyway, as I arrived in the room, I noticed there were bed sheets but no pillow cases. Went to front desk again and was told they had problems with laundry delivery... and again "I am sorry". So I got an additional bed sheet to cover the pillows. When I checked out I asked to verify the 40% refund and they said it would be processed within a couple of hours. It never came. The credit card company called and emailed the hotel management three times over the following weeks, and so did I. Only voicemail and no reply to emails. I reported this hotel to Better Business Bureau but even BBB did not get a reply. I would advise against staying in this hotel. Poorly and unprofessionally managed.
Just a heads up this place is closed (closed 5/23). We randomly checked this morning as we were supposed to check in today. Never received a cancelation from the company. They had the audacity to email me yesterday to say we could check in early for $25 extra.
So if you have reservations you might want to look elsewhere. We ended up booking at the pod over lunch. Super cute hotel
DO NOT BOOK this hotel it Is CLOSED permanently. Monies paid in full. No communication. Son travelled from UK and arrived to meet with a sign saying it has been foreclosed on. Thankfully he arrived at a sensible time of day and we managed to sort alternative.
Stay away!!!!! They're all liars, from the receptionist to the so-called manager, everyone will lie to you.
There hasn't been hot water for months, and they make you believe the problem just happened. They make you believe they'll issue a refund, but as soon as you leave the hotel, they never responding to your emails. The rooms are dirty, and the bedding is disgusting. Stay away from this hotel.
They told me even tho i did a reservation that they had no space. They told me to book a new hotel and that they will pay me the amount back since they didn't let me check in. After countless months i didn't receive anything back and they ignore my emails and calls. Dont book this hotel. Its a scam
My name is Miranda Daneri. I made a reservation at BeHome by LuxUrban, and when I arrived, I was told there was no hot water. I decided not to check in, but they still charged me the full price of the stay. I have been requesting a refund by email as instructed, but I have not received any response. Not only was the service at the front desk poor, but it also confirms that they are scammers. I need a response or I will file a complaint with the New York City Department of Consumer and Worker Protection.
