The room
it was convenient opposite Romford Station, and room had a big TV which was good.
the double room was too tight didn't have enough room to move around.
Booked for AC as it was during the heatwave that helped.
Flies in room, no conditioner or hand soap. Room filled with dust everywhere could not breathe at night due to it. no ironing board as advertised. TINY room and next to main door so could hear everyone come in and the door bang all night.

Clean and modern and surprisingly quiet
Smelly blocked shower, poor service.
Breakfast was self service and you had to figure it out.
I know I requested a quiet room, on my first night though, I couldn't get to sleep until after 1am because of a nightclub which was actually round the front but the beat of the base music although not crazy loud was constant. I did say to the hotel the next morning - but I appreciate it is not their fault. However I did get some ear plugs for the remainder of my stay which solved the problem.
One of the staff members (an Indian woman) who worked at the kitchen area. She asked immediately if we had any specific diets or allergies. I am a vegetarian and she told me she had many options besides the menu for me and kept telling me we paid for it so just ask for anything I want. She was very sweet in making sure I got everything I needed. There was airconditioning in the room too.
The room was so tiny, we could barely move and place our stuff. Having to walk over one another from the bed too the hall. Also all the other staff we met were helpful but not in a great mood it seemed. They did not look you in the eye or gave a smile.
