Hotel Alakapuri

Hotel ambience is good. Hotel is near to all necessities. Botanical garden is at a walk away distance. Couple can feel secured. Rooms are neat.

But I suggest couples don't opt group travel tour package which they offer for 400/- .

Drivers of these vehicles don't treat outsiders good. They skip places.

Couples can hire independent vehicle shared with other couple. This will cost around 2500/- to 3000/- for Ooty & Conoor coverage. If 4 people share vehicle then 500/- per head is quite reasonable.

Hotel is not far from attractions like Rose Garden, Botanical garden etc.,

It has clean rooms and the ambience is good. Restaurant provides good food and its a suitable hotel for the mid-range travellers.

Good rooms in reasonable price....Rooms are enough clean.It is situated in city itself.So,it is very easy to move around the city.This hotel is customer friendly....I am satisfied with their service.Nice experience.

Stayed here for 2 days. Absolutely felt like home. I have stayed in hotels in & around ooty, but this one stands out in the budget hotel section. This is truly a unique budget boutique hotel with value for money, spacious rooms.

Hotel is located in good location. Rose garden, Botanical Garden, Lake is not far from here.
Hotel is neat and clean. Restaurant is also available, food is OK.
I was lucky to parking.
Only bad thing was the noise of vehicles because my room was adjacent to road in third floor.
Small CRT tv was there but that don't bother me as we don't visit to watch tv :)

I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago when travelling solo. Budget accommodation but reasonably comfortable and located close to everything. They also are extra nice to you if you mention Tripadvisor :)

pretty good hotel. service, room and location is good. situated near to charing cross which is near to botanical garden, rose garden city commercial street, coonor road and doddabetta. you can see plenty of veg and non veg hotel near to this. car parking facility is there

Decent sized room, with all basic amenities, and average cleanliness. I had read in few reviews that rooms are smelly and damp. I suffered the same. It is not unbearable, but when you enter the room, you distinctly realize that the room stinks. When complained, they try to spray the room with room fresheners etc, doesn't help.

Please carry a pack of candle before check in the hotel. I stayed over here for last 2 days and during my tenure minimum 20 times electricity has gone..!
Hotel is not at all calm and quite, only 4 cars can properly park (for 50+ rooms), Old dirty toilet and Poor house keeping. There is restaurant who charged 3x when compared to the price of other restaurant which is situated just in front of this one...! Just add a little more bucks and book a better hotel some where nearby.

really an enjoyable stay at this property.. the breakfast was really very good and the best was the fresh juices which wer ein the buffet druning brekafast.. didnt expect this hotel to give toog ood service.. must stay location whenever come to ooty..

It is about 3 km from bus station. Botanical gardens is about 1 km from here.
Regarding the hotel:
Service is not so good. Boys don't respond in time.
It has many restaurants near by. It also has its own. A telephone is available. Geyser is working well. Hot water supply has specific time. Make sure you know that time before.

What I liked the best: Big sized bed. Dining table is also available
What I didn't like: response from room service guys.

Room was giving some different type of smell which was not good and same was there even after using the room freshners and bathroom was also not up satisfactions.Pick up & wi fi facility's also not there.

I stayed in this hotel in November 2014 with my family. It was quite good and i was happy with good room service and hospitality. The rooms were well maintained and clean. Blankets were very clean and good. Hot water we got on any time. and we were happy to stay there. Totally it is a budgeted hotel

When I see the hotel from outside it looked very good but once I saw the room I was totally disappointed .Rooms are dirty..believe they don't even change the bed sheets/Blanket. I would suggest this hotel as your last option..

Average Hotel. The best part is that it is only half km away from Botanical Garden, the place where Flower show occurs. the main headache is parking facility. But the hotel will manage somehow by using space from road nearby. Staffs are good. The building is somewhat old. So bathrooms and room furniture's are old stuff.

Had been to OOTY last week, stayed couple of nights in this Hotel. They charged Rs.2000/- per delux room which seems to be 70% higher than normal rates. Could be because of peak season (1st week of May). Most of the other Hotels located around this were full. Bath rooms are bit dirty, No hot water for couple of hours in the morning. Despite Food is bit costly but not tasty. -- Ramesh.G Hyderabad

Booked this place through cleartrip and came to know that it was overpriced.
The rooms were very dirty and was very difficult to stay at.
Room service was very poor.I did manage to stay at a much better place at lesser price than this.

Dirty Blankets,Confused waiters.
there is no paint in the walls ...room no-203
water get completly logged in toilets.
washbasin puke floats on toilet floors.
employees are helpfull.

Avoid avoid avoid. Its a lodging an boarding, not an hotel. PATHETIC IS THE WORD I CAN SAY> WORST STAY EVER. Stinky rooms, Stinky bathrroms. Stinky blankets. rooms are dark like a dungeon. Bad very bad. I am not a rich person who is expecting service and rooms to be like 4 star hotel. BUT this hotel is not even at par of a lodge.

This is my second visit to the hotel.Nothing has changed much.They have recently done some renovations and added a lift.Main reason to re visit this hotel is the location,food,and staff behaviour.They really care for their guest's and that's what make them special in ooty.There was power interruptions at the day time and they immediately switched on the generator.
