Residhome Chartres

The accommodation was good overall, but the location made transport to the town quite difficult. It felt a bit isolated, with no shops nearby, and we had to walk about 20 minutes uphill to reach the town centre. This made getting around less convenient than expected.

I’ve stayed here a few times on our way to the Charente. It’s very clean, well managed and pet friendly with good cooking facilities.

Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann sein Auto in einer abschließbaren Tiefgarage parken und ist zu Füßen sehr schnell in der Innenstadt von Chartre. Zu unserer Freude bestand das Frühstück aus Biozutaten.

Excellent hotel, better than expected for the price, especially as there was a kitchenette in the room. Spacious room and decor of the whole hotel was very attractive. The breakfast was excellent, the best breakfast by far of all the hotels we stayed in on this holiday.
We had to pay 9 Euros for parking, but it was secure garage parking under the hotel reception and we booked it in advance, and were glad to have a secure place for the car. However, arrival was tricky because there seemed to be nowhere to pull up short-term in order to be able to go into reception and check in. The hotel should give instructions as to where one can stop to do this, especially as the roads around are busy, and it is not easy to get back to the hotel once you have driven past.
The hotel was on the city ring road, and very convenient for the city centre, being just ten minutes walk from the cathedral, so we had no need to use the car while staying there.

What can I say - this was a fantastic place to stay and I highly recommend it. Walking distance to the wonderful Chartres cathedral and lots of dining options and quaint shops. I wish there was one of these hotels in every town.

Clean modern room with kitchenette and nice bathroom (though shower water pressure was a bit low).

Convenient location.

Très bon séjour pour les lumières de Chartres. L’hôtel est tout neuf et très propre. Emplacement un peu excentré du centre-ville mais parfait pour un week-ends.

Excellent, everything good, spotlessly clean, good kitchen area, and nice large shower, comfy bed, just remember that on top of your room fee you have to pay 250 euros deposit.

Lovely apartment and good breakfast. Only downside was we arrived late and had trouble getting hold of someone to let us in even though I warned them we would be late which was stressful. But the apartment was great.

Inquiète au début car je ne savais pas où stationner ma voiture pour faire mon Check in .. je n’avais pas vu qu’il n’y avait plus de places de parking disponibles ! J’ai trouvé une place le soir sur un parking public pas loin et le lendemain matin, l’accueil m’a permis de stationner ma voiture quelques heures avant mon Check out, sur une place réservée aux handicapés (comme il n’y en avait pas !) ..c’était très sympa de leur part !
L’Hotel est beau, agréable et super bien situé .. et les apparts bien équipés - avec des bouteilles d’eau, du thé et du café !

Location and room were great.
Sadly 2 issues I raised with front desk and emailed to management were never fixed or even addressed...smoke alarm and shower issues.
If fixed review would have been excellent.
