First, on Wednesday evening around 7:00 PM, I went to the reception desk to complete my check-out in advance, as my departure was scheduled for 1:40 AM. Since I knew I would be tired at that hour, I believed it would be simpler and more convenient to settle everything the evening before.
However, I was told that an early check-out was impossible because I might still use items in the room afterward. Frankly, I found this explanation unreasonable. There were only 4 bottles of water in the minibar, and in any case, the hotel already had my credit card on file for any additional charges.
What I found even more surprising is that when I finally checked out at 1:40 AM, no one even checked the room. This made the refusal to process my check-out in advance seem unnecessary and poorly handled. I believe this reflects a lack of staff training and flexibility, which is disappointing for a four-star hotel.
Additionally, I had two separate reservations during my stay and clearly informed reception about this. Between the two reservations, I spent the weekend in Paraty and only wanted to take my carry-on luggage, leaving my larger suitcase at the hotel for three days.
To my surprise, reception staff had to call management to ask whether this could be approved. I found this situation equally disappointing. This is a very common and simple request in hotels, especially for returning guests with consecutive stays. Once again, it suggested a lack of staff empowerment and training.
In my experience, these situations would have been resolved immediately in many hotels, particularly in the United States, where customer service tends to be more solution-oriented. These were not difficult issues to solve, yet they became unnecessarily complicated.
I hope this feedback will be taken constructively, as I believe there is room for improvement in customer service and staff training.

Me cancelaron el pago por booking y me hicieron pagar en el hotel, eso implico un costo extra para mi de U$S 100. Por lo tanto el costo, me salio U$S 180 dolares, y no incluia el desayuno. No hubo por parte del hotel ninguna disculpa o explicación clara de porque.
Amo la cadena windsor ! El año pasado había ido a otro de la cadena , la verdad excelente estadía tuvimos con mi pareja ! Recomendable !

The breakfast selection was quite repetitive, with the same items served daily. Unfortunately, the bacon was consistently overcooked and too hard. There was also a noticeable restriction, as guests were not allowed to refill their tumblers with the hotel’s water. On a positive note, the hotel is conveniently located near a free public beach; however, it is somewhat far from many of the main tourist attractions in Rio de Janeiro.
My stay was highly unsatisfactory, and I would not advise others to book this property. There were no complimentary or welcome drinks upon arrival, and the room only provided small bottled water with a note indicating additional charges would apply if consumed.
The rooms are outdated and lack proper soundproofing; noise from adjacent rooms and the lobby was clearly audible at all times. Housekeeping activities conducted late in the evening were particularly disruptive. Basic amenities were insufficient, with only tissue and a shower cap provided.
Maintenance issues were also evident. The bidet was leaking and, rather than being repaired, a towel was placed to absorb the water. The toilet flush was not functioning properly and required manual adjustment to work. Additionally, the room key frequently malfunctioned, requiring repeated trips to reception for reactivation.
Service quality was equally disappointing. While some staff had limited English proficiency, communication was poor, and requests were often not acknowledged. Overall, the experience fell significantly below expectations and cannot be recommended.
