My wife and I booked two rooms, one for us and another for my father in law. His room was on the 2nd floor and ours was on the 1st. Both rooms were comfortable and well appointed. I loved that there's a hotel play list on Spotify and appreciated the special attention for our dog once in the room.

What ruined our stay was the incessant creaking of floorboards from the room above us, the mechanical noise from the air-conditioning and the night long spot lights from the industrial facility behind the hotel. I am pretty relaxed about most things but honestly i have never had a worse night sleep. The next morning I checked the hotel reviews and saw this is a frequent complaint for rooms on the 1st floor. When we told reception how bad the noise was, we'd even recorded it on my mobile it was so bad at one point, they made out like they were surprised. They gave a shrug and that was all they wanted to hear. I am still honestly shocked. This was supposed to be a lux stay, but it was not.

We had dinner in the restaurant the night we arrived. The food was good but very standoffish service. Breakfast the next day was ok, but nothing to rave about.

Check in was fine, but the 4 or 5 chaser emails and then additional text messages before arriving to help make checking simpler for staff (scan your own passport type things) were just a bit officious. If you're paying for a lux hotel, I expect it needs to be relaxing and not work before arrival.

カメムシが室内にいて驚いたが、窓際だったので上手く追い出せた。また、室内温度はフロントで管理されており自由に設定できず最初寒かったが、温度を上げてもらえて暖かく過ごせた。付いているレストランのお料理は美味しかった。

Muy buen sitio para ir con tu perro, puede acompañarte al bar para desayunar y comer.
Está muy bien comunicado para ver los alrededores, se aparca justo debajo.
Personal muy amable y la suite es enorme, muy completa y limpia.

Let me start by saying very clearly that I really dislike giving a bad review. I also don’t like moaning people who complain about the small things in their stay.

This is a great hotel and building. They are lovely rooms. Clearly considered and classy renovation. Faultless in that respect.

Restaurant was good but very limited choice. If staying more than 1 night I would have struggled to eat there each night. A little remote for other dining options.

Our issue and subsequent rating is with the noise! We had a 1st floor room and there were people staying above us. You could hear every movement and every single noise. As it’s a conversion the creaking is constant.

We didn’t sleep well at all. One of the worst nights sleep in a hotel I have had. Never again. After an 8 hour drive to get there and then another 5 hour drive the next day, it was a bit of a disaster!

Such a pity considering the actual hotel and decor and renovation were fantastic.

Maybe go and have dinner there but don’t book to stay!

Vacker plats belägen i utkanten av Oñati, Vacker inrett hotell så vänlig värd. Lyxiga rum ! Restaurangen är underbar med sin ute miljö och grillkök på sommaren, på vintern är vi med hund inte välkomna in i matsalen men det gör inget eftersom de dukar fint med vit duk i baren och serverar oss där, det är service.Lite problem med engelskan i restaurangen men det löser sig. Frukosten är okej.

Das Hotel ist selbst mit Navi nicht ganz einfach zu finden, weil etwas versteckt außerhalb von Onati gelegen. Doch die Gegebenheiten vor Ort entschädigen bei weitem für die Suche. Ein Juwel abseits von jeglichem Massentourismus!

Beautiful atmosphere, peaceful accommodation, off the beaten track, but worth the extra km to reach it. Uncomplicated check-in, accommodating my late arrival.

La experiencia ha sido muy buena. Me han facilitado el check in ya que llegaba más tarde de lo permitido. Las camas muy cómodas. Y el alrededores rodeado de naturaleza.

Aparcamiento fácil y gratuito.

Lo único que las habitaciones no son tan insonorizadas pero se puede descansar bien.

Lovely boutique hotel located close to the rural town of Oñati and the Sanctuary of Arantzazu. The hotel is well located both within the Basque countryside but also within walking distance of the town (20 minutes), which affords many bars and restaurants (indeed a disproportionate number for so a small a town - I counted about 20!) I enjoyed the scenery and going on walks in the countryside and there's even the Usako waterfalls a 15-minute walk away. The hotel is well equipped with a restaurant on site. My room was very spacious and extremely comfortable and well equipped.

I enjoy small boutique hotels and this one is a charm. Everyone was friendly, the restaurant is not to be missed. The room was spacious, the towels and bed linen are very soft. The manager was wonderful with a quick check in and helping me figure out how to make the coffee machine work, (coffee is free). I will definitely stay here again.

Really friendly staff despite a bit of a language barrier. Clean, airy rooms.
Beautiful location and an easy drive from Bilbao airport.
Good breakfasts - either pay for an all you can eat, or just select a few items.
Very good food in the restaurant.
We left something when we left and they quickly found it and posted it.
Would more than happily return or recommend.
