I stayed at Radisson Red from October 7–10, expecting it to be a step above Radisson Blu, where I usually stay. I’m a premium member and thought, like in Marriott or ITC, there would be some kind of upgrade or special consideration. However, I received a basic room despite the high rates, and breakfast wasn’t even included.

On the first night, I ordered chicken curry, which didn’t feel very fresh. The next morning at breakfast (which I paid extra for), I ordered a sunny side egg and coffee. After waiting quite a while, I saw the staff serve the table next to me, so I reminded them about my order. They said they would bring it, but nothing happened. The same with the coffee — it never came, and I eventually had to go and collect it myself.

The following day, I asked for two masala dosas — only one was served, and despite reminding the staff, no one followed up. The breakfast service felt very poor and inattentive.

Check-in and checkout were smooth, and housekeeping did a good job. However, even the water bottles in the room were extremely tight and difficult to open — a small thing, but it shows a lack of attention to detail.

Overall, the stay was disappointing and did not meet Radisson’s usual standards, especially considering the price paid.

What was good :

1. It’s a good hotel with decent amenities and location.
2. The staff at valet and parking area was really helpful and very engaged. They managed my self drive car drop/parking smoothly, guided us very well on planning our trip routes and infact would have saved us 1-1.5 hrs each way
3. Our checkin at almost 1am was smooth and managed well.
4. it’s located in a nice safe area, we had good sleep which was the main driver
5. Breakfast spread was fine, waiting staff there was good and took good care.

Some of the stuff did not work well and can be much better
1. Extra bed was provided although at chargeable basis, the room was small and could barely fit one extra bed. We checked in at JW Marriott for longer part of stay, with approx 25% higher base cost but complimentary extra beds in an already larger room with enough beds. Good Space is bare minimum expectation in a tier-2 city, and this is Chandigarh 😊
But to be fair the hotel provided king bed which was actually a large king bed
2. did not see much engagement by the manager and senior folks at breakfast and in general (waiting staff was good and engaged)
3. Breakfast spread can be better

It’s acclaimed as first red hotel by Radisson. Hotel in general does not fit a five star category and will at best be a 3.5/4 star category hotel.

Breakfast, Family friendly and a convenient location

Redison Red is one of the well known Hotel group in India. It provides the best luxury facilities to their guest.
Great rooms, beautiful swimming pool, excellent ambience.

Staff are awesome. The room was immaculate breakfast was excellent. Mainly business people nevertheless the staff went out of their way to make you feel special.

Great amibanece , Very clean and tidy room, apart from this, front office staff Aarzoo was very helpful with her warm smile.

The staff was incredibly warm and attentive from check-in to check-out.
Rooms were spotless, spacious, and beautifully designed.
The food was top-notch — every meal felt like fine dining.
Amenities like the pool and spa were perfectly maintained.
Location was ideal and peaceful, yet close to everything.
