Well located with beautiful views of the coast by the pool and hot tubs. The staff are excellent, attentive and friendly.
Included continental breakfast was fruit and toast only. Menu options were very good though.
The View
Villa Roca Boutique Hotel, despite its name, is far from a boutique hotel. We chose it for a week of relaxation after visiting four other wonderful venues in this beautiful country. We paid £1800 for a one-week stay in a triple room with two separate beds, as advertised on the website. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Gerald, a non-committal staff member, in a small and grubby reception room. Navigating the many steps to our room was difficult, and there was no offer of assistance with our luggage. The room was tiny, with a massive king bed and a single bed in the corner, leaving little space for anything else. The view from the room was stunning, but the room lacked any area for clothes and drawers for storage. After negotiating with the manager, Joanna, we were offered an additional room for an extra fee. Joanna also included the ‘Continental’ breakfast, which consisted of a plate of fruit, two slices of toast, butter, and a nondescript jam, orange juice, tea, or coffee. The portion sizes were very small.
Before going out one night at 19:00, the key to my room broke in the lock. I asked Gerald, the concierge, to fix it, but he said it was not his problem as everyone had gone home. I insisted that as a paying guest, he should ensure my room was secure. He said he wasn’t the manager but would try to get someone to help. The key was eventually removed, and a spare key was found.
This hotel is tired and grubby. Don’t be fooled by its website or the Booking.com description.
Die Lage war super. Der Supermarkt sowie viele Lokale waren zufuß erreichbar. Wahnsinns Aussicht. Anlage gut gepflegt. Pool wurde täglich gereinigt.
Frühstück war zu wenig, wenn man mehr/etwas anderes wollte, war dies gegen Aufpreis - für den Übernachtungspreis erwartet man sich mehr. Leider fehlen beim Pool einige Fliesen - generell müsste das Hotel etwas renoviert werden. Zimmer sehr hellhörig.

Apart from the nice view from the pool at the ocean,there wasn‘t much we enjoyed!
First of all,we were told at the check-in,that even though we made a reservation INCLUDING breakfast,we would have to pay extra if we wanted something else than bread,jam,coffee and juice! Looking at the menu,we were shocked that we would have to pay extra for scrambles eggs,not to mention the prices!!!We were glad that there are plenty breakfast- and brunchplaces in the area,so in order to boycott the hotels‘ strategy,we gladly gave our money to cafés in the area.
Then we came in our room,electricity gone for about an hour,so no AC while having 35 degrees celsius outside. This happened everyday for the 3 nights we were staying there!
The bathroom wasn‘t clean,mold on the bathtub,rusty bin and toilet brush. It smelled strongly of sewage,that‘s why we had air fresheners laying everywhere to „cover the smell“.
We shared our dissatisfaction at our checkout. The lady in the reception telling us that they „were working on getting better“.
I would strongly advise the hotel to upgrade their electricity system as well as the quality of the rooms and services provided if they want to keep their prices so high!

This hotel was in a great location with stunning views from the pool and restaurant. The air conditioning in the room was effective and the rooms were cleaned every day. The staff is the bar/restaurant were super friendly and helpful.
The continental breakfast that was included was nice but exactly the same everyday so some variety would have been nice. The hotel is on a steep hill and there was no help to get our cases up and down the steps to our room.
The view and it only had 12 rooms
Small touches e.g. butter provided instead of margarine for breakfast. No milk provided in room. At that price a better breakfast could be provided instead of continental . Possible to buy cereals etc from the menu but looked a bit pricey to me.

We stayed in one of the villas and it was fantastic, perfectly equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and high-end stay. The ocean views are incredible, and the sunsets here are some of the best you’ll find in Costa Rica.
One of the highlights was the secluded spot in the jungle featuring two hot tubs. It’s a very cool, quiet place to truly relax and soak in the atmosphere. Being an adult-only resort, the overall vibe was very peaceful and sophisticated.
We were disappointed by the lack of transparency regarding breakfast. We weren't informed that the "included" breakfast only covers fruit, bread, and coffee; we were surprised with a bill for our omelets on the final day. Additionally, the toilet in our villa made a very loud humming noise after flushing, which was quite noticeable since it was right next to the bedroom.
It is in a great location and very nice staff .

Localizado no centro de Manoel Antônio a poucos metros de restaurantes, mercados e lojas. Esse hotel tem um vista incrível, estacionamento para hóspedes e uma piscina linda.
Acordamos a noite com barulho de porcos que não sei se eram do próprio hotel ou do terreno vizinho. Os grunhidos eram altos e assustadores mas acredito que dependendo da localização do quarto não seja um problema. O café da manhã é bem fraco. Tem muita escadaria para chegar em qualquer acomodação do hotel.
