Brides, look no further!
Pros:

I was looking for a hotel where my future daughter in law could get ready with her bridesmaids and have a space for hair and makeup, but I also wanted a lovely honeymoon suite for her and her new husband (my son). Enter the Edward Hotel! It checked every box. Starting with clear communication from management, a dedicated place for getting ready, gorgeous suites to feel like royalty and amazing decor for memorable wedding photos.
I couldn't be happier with the decision we made and hope this review helps you make the same decision, you won't regret it!

Impeccable in every way!
Pros:

Impeccable in every way! The Edward was a superb experience from the initial engaging reservation conversation. Erin is the consummate professional with charm, understanding and efficient capability.
The Kennedy Suite is exquisitely appointed, completely comfortable luxury. The epitome of cleanliness with every need well thought out for the guest's premier experience.
Erin's restaurant recommendation was excellent. Iron Tail Tavern, and the server, Paul, exceeded expectations. A lovely walk in their beautiful neighborhood after a day of driving was perfect in every way!
Returning to this wonderful property is a must!

Lovely little hotel in a nice section of buffalo. The key pad access is a bit challenging until you get the hang of it. Help is immediately available via call. Interiors are delightfully decorated- lush, interesting, comfortable.

Spotless Boutique Hotel
Pros:

A spotless boutique hotel that fit all our needs while visiting Buffalo. Excellent location. The room, bed linens and bathroom were fresh and very clean! Classy decor throughout and spotless hallways. The customer service provided by Erin was beyond outstanding before, during and after our stay.
Take a break from the ‘traditional’ hotels and enjoy The Edward!

Surreal and unpleasant AirBNB-like experience
Pros:

This hotel is basically an AirBNB branded as a hotel, or maybe a strange psychological experiment. Our room had a lock but not a deadbolt or chain, which would have made me uncomfortable even if my toddler hadn't discovered he could open the door himself whenever he wanted to. I texted the hotel in concern, and while I appreciated the prompt response, I didn't really think "can you put a chair in front of the door" was a very professional answer. My room had a light wall so the city lights kept it from ever really getting dark, and if I had managed to get to sleep, the brilliant motion-activated bathroom light would have startled me awake again. The staff was responsive by text message but generally nowhere to be seen, and definitely not at the large fancy desk in the main room, which was there for decoration. However they watch you on security cameras in the lobby and will text you to complain when your child handles the many small fascinating objects placed in easy toddler reach. The bathroom sink was too small to support a bar of soap, not that enough bars of soap were provided to put one there. The complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and body wash containers weren't labeled so we had to guess which was which. My kids liked the free popcorn in the lobby, but ultimately this was a surreal and unpleasant place to stay, especially with small kids.

Pros:

Check in was all done virtually and responses via text were prompt. We stayed in the Madison (on the first floor) and our room was lovely. The bed was huge, and comfortable, and the shower was great.

2025 Buffalo Garden Walk
Pros:

My wife and I stayed at the Edward on July 26 through the 27th. This is a adults only boutique hotel in the Elwood Strip section of Buffalo NY. Are room was on the 1st floor of a two (2) floor mansion. After a nine (9) mile walking journey in 90 deg. weather to view the most of gardens in the area...My wife, and returned to the hotel for some relaxation. The are no cons to speak of. The pros are as follows:

1. Adult only hotel
2. (9) rooms.
3. The "Alexander" was perfect. Well appointed. Comfortable bed. Fridge, roomy shower.
4. A solarium and/or den to relax with cocktails...BYOB.
5. Hotel had full occupancy. Yet, We rarely came in contact with anyone.

My wife and I will definitely stay at the "Edward" again.

Nice room in a convenient location
Pros:

My son and I stayed in the Green room which was very spacious. Bed was comfortable, small couches/benches not so much, but trendy. Host was super helpful with restaurant recommendations. The location was very convenient to restaurants and activities.
One caution- parking is limited in their lot, street parking can be challenging.
My only issue was the blinds didn’t block out enough light- room darkening curtains would be nice as I prefer to sleep in a very dark room.
Overall, a very nice stay for a reasonable price.

Wonderful stay for wedding guests!
Pros:

I booked 4 rooms for 2 nights each for visitors coming to my son's wedding. Everything was excellent. I had visitors from California, Canada and NJ. They all loved the hotel. The location was perfect-near the venue (The Terrace in Delaware Park). They enjoyed walking the neighborhood, seeing the beautiful homes and walking up to Elmwood and visiting the shops. The visitors staying in The Deco spoke about how comfortable the bed was. I booked a couple rooms over six months prior and made a few changes as the date got closer. The staff was always helpful, responsive and accommodating. All feedback from all my guests were positive!

A boutique hotel gem
Pros:

Where to start to describe this hotel...the first notable contact was with the owner who has developed a digital check-in system, without a front desk, that really works. A unique password is provided to each guest to use on the front door and the room door. When we arrived at the front door, I wasn't sure about the keypad since it does not have any keys so I called the Innkeeper on the phone, using the number she provided in the check-in text, and left a v-mail requesting assistance which was returned almost immediately. Erin explained how to work the key pad and stayed on the phone until I was all the way into our room. Always with a cherry, professional voice,

Once into the room, my wife and I were very impressed with its ambiance . A recently restored, historic building in the style of the gilded age, it's an opulent joy to the eye. The sitting areas in the main lobby are equally well appointed and cohesive with the overall theme. Our room was well appointed; the bathroom was large and the shower was lined with marble walls. Most importantly, the bed was comfortable and provided a good night's sleep. The hosts have also included a coffee maker and a mini fridge for guest convenience.

Finally, in the morning I spoke with the owner to ask if we could leave our car in the parking lot for a time after checkout so we could walk to a nearby coffee shop... of course, was her response and then sent me 3 links to shops all within walking distance. Located just off Delaware Ave the hotel is nearby to Elmwood Ave - a young professional area - and very convenient to downtown.

If you want a comfortable stay, in a unique, historic building, The Edward Buffalo is a great choice.

Good place, with potential to be great
Pros:

In the grand scheme of things, this is a fine hotel however there are some significant details that are missing,
i.e. blackout curtains, pillows that are comfortable, stopping the artificial scent in the entrance hall.
This isn't the first time we've asked for blackout curtains (or similar, in order to fully darken the room) and are disappointed that it keeps getting ignored.

Pros:

Loved the place but had a loud walker in the room above us. Fresh cream in the morning would be nice too.

A Delightful surprise
Pros:

Chosen on a whim and pleasantly surprised. Could not tell you about the neighborhood and was a little surprised about parking but it all worked. Communications were excellent, contactless check in a breeze. A walk up to second floor and was intrigued by the decor and when we entered we were very pleased, roomy, comfy, attention to detail obvious and the best soaking tub ever! Only thing missing was bubbles and good coffee while soaking. Bed was comfortable, room was quiet. Early check out at 10:00 for a fee you can stay till noon, they did accommodate us and gave an extra half hour which was perfect. I believe each room is different. I would be happy to visit again. Good luck with your venture

Beautiful Place, Beautiful Stay!
Pros:

I had such a nice stay at The Edward! I was in Buffalo on business and chose The Edward simply because it was affordable and within walking distance of where I needed to be, and was so pleasantly surprised by everything about the place. Very stylish (surprisingly so), comfortable, and clean. The keyless check in system was great, and Erin and her staff were so friendly and accommodating. It also turned out to be in a great part of town, just a few blocks walk to Elmwood Village which is a fun lively area. I had never been to Buffalo before, and I'm so glad I chose The Edward. You should too!
