Great Montreal option- walking distance to the old Port- rooms are clean and bed and pillows re both very comfortable. This is definitely my new go to Montreal hotel!!!
I was going to miss breakfast due to an early flight and the check in team made sure a breakfast ‘pack’ was available to me the next morning! As a Hyatt Globalist this was the first time this has ever been offered to me! Team at this hotel definitely go above and beyond!!
Perfectly located, the Hyatt Centric gave us perfect access to the Historic District without all the noise and crowds. Our room was well appointed with a large safe, refrigerator, drawers and a shelf in the bathroom. The only complaint was a wardrobe without a door. There is a great rooftop area with a pool, but the bar has a small selection and the space seems underused.
The hotel bar had a good selection of cocktails and wine with a great staff. Breakfast was very good with an amazing fruit plate and great expresso drinks.
You will not go wrong staying here. It is within walking distance of major attractions, bars and restaurants. Friendly, helpful staff.
Great hotel with excellent restaurant. Beautiful. Clean. Excellent service. Spacious rooms. Great views. Top flight!
We stayed at the Centric while attendng Osheaga festival in Montreal. The hotel was busy when we arrived and they accomodated an ealry check-in around 1200 pretty easily.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was tasty with a variety of options that worked well for our family. If you don't want to eat onsite there are lots of cafes and restaurants a short walk away.
The location is well situated for tourists to see Old Montreal, the port, etc. Easily walkable to the Berri Metro station and to the Port of Montreal jetty where you can get ferries/water taxis to Jean Drapeau parc and other areas.
The hotel was well maintained, bathroom was in good repair, great water pressure and quick hot water. The pool area on the roof is great, with a fantastic view. The gym was a reasonable size with a variety of equipment.
Overall I would recommend to anyone lookng to spend time in downtown Montreal.
Overall good hotel, close to old Montreal.
If the pool is of interest to you, ensure you confirm with the staff that it will be open during your stay in the summer.
I am a loyal Marriot high tier member. I only stayed at this hotel due to the proximity to the old port.
I have read some negative reviews which are insane. The price I paid per night is for a 3 star hotel in the US and I had a 5 star experience.
I was upgraded at no cost at check in to the 7th floor with a great view.
The hotel is new, Clean and very comfortable. Parking is under the building and a little challenging to navigate but at check in I was provided a map and detailed instructions.
Nespresso machine in my room. The bar area provides drinks to bring to the rooftop pool area.
The restaurant was amazing and the breakfast was very good buffet. My wife has an allergy to nuts. Both at breakfast and we ate dinner one night the host checked and all of the desserts and croissants are made in house and carefully made without nuts in the area.
The staff was also amazing going table to table switching drone French to English very considerate of our primary language.
You will not find a better hotel for this price or even more.
Went to Montreal to see the international fireworks display and sight see. Hyatt is perfectly located to be able to walk down the port to watch. Easy walk to shops and restaurants too. Garage can be accessed to self park or you can valet. Room was very clean and staff were friendly. Easy check in and check out. Would definitely stay again.

The hotel's location is excellent, in the heart of the Old City, just a short walk from Place Jacques-Cartier. There are plenty of restaurants, cafés, and shops nearby.
The staff were fantastic—polite, friendly, and always willing to help.
However, the hotel itself appeared older than expected and was not as luxurious as it looked in the photos. It would definitely benefit from a renovation or refresh.
The breakfast was rather disappointing, with very limited variety. Considering the price of the hotel, I expected a much wider selection of food and a better choice of coffee.
