The property itself is impressive, clean, and historical.
The meal at Tellers was a huge disappointment. The serving was embarrassingly small for an enormous price. Won't be back and wouldn't recommend.
How beautiful the architecture was.
That we had to pay $30 for parking…
Friendly staff, delicious food, beautiful atmosphere!
The valet and front desk staff was great.
The bed and pillows so comfy Thank you!
There was no free breakfast for the price you pay for accommodations. No free garage parking for guests. Room set up was incomplete. I had to ask for slippers and toothbrush set. The body wash in the shower was empty and the socket for to hair dryer in bathroom was not working...had to plug the hair dryer at the bedroom socket. They have an in-house steak house. The steak was great but resto host did not greet us when we entered ..had to wait 5mins before someone went to host stand. If you pay $100 per person for dinner guests should be treated well as soon as they enter the resto. They didn't smile too.
Our favorite place stay.
Nothing not to like
Hotel architecture inside and out was spectacular! Staff was exceptional. Holiday decorations were beautiful and fantastic!
Parking.
The National is a true treasure. And particularly during the Christmas season. Every corner is fully decorated in grand style. It’s amazing. The attention to detail shows.
Of course the hotel was packed with holiday parties and families alike. All in a cheery mood.
Most importantly the staff here is so friendly, accommodating and proficient. A high level of service and care. On check in Teneca was delightful and made us feel as though we were the most important arrivals of the day. She set the tone for what would be a wonderful 2 nights.
Of course have to mention the Vault. What a great and fun experience.
Oklahoma City’s Crown Jewel of Hospitality!!! 10/10
The National has earned a lifelong guest.
In April 2025, I was driving cross country with my family after a difficult season, relocating them after a serious accident. I booked five hotels across our route from Arizona to Michigan through the Marriott app, and without question, The National stood out as the highlight of our entire journey.
I have been fortunate to travel internationally since birth, and my parents and I have stayed in extraordinary hotels across the world. The National easily ranks among our top ten. It is a property that rivals the finest names in global hospitality while still feeling deeply personal and welcoming.
My recent return this past weekend only reaffirmed that impression. From Charles and Martin at valet to Teneca at the front desk and the gracious bar team, every single member of the staff embodies the essence of genuine hospitality. The service was impeccable, warm, and intuitive, the kind that reminds you why certain hotels are truly in a league of their own.
The building itself feels like a living museum of elegance. Its historic grandeur flows through every corridor, every room, and every polished detail. Even the simplest touches, the perfect water pressure, sparkly clean rooms, and the whisper quiet elevators, show a property that values excellence in every sense. This property is worth every penny.
I was in town for a show at Paycom Arena, and from start to finish, the experience was flawless. From thoughtful late night dining recommendations after The Vault closed to the beautifully curated Halloween décor, The National redefines what it means to care for a guest.
In a city with no shortage of hotels, The National rises far above the rest. It feels like coming home to luxury.
10 out of 10. I would live here if I could. Special recognition to Charles and Teneca for their outstanding service. You make this hotel shine.
My family and I revisited the National this last weekend. We had first visited 2 years ago and fell in love with the building. Who couldn't?
Check in was quite sloppy. My Bonvoy loyalty wasn't mentioned, I had to bring up my benefits. I wasn't asked if I had brought a car, but I was charged all of the valet charges to my room. Fortunately it was a family member's car but I found this odd. They also added a 1-night valet to another member for a car that wasn't ours. We were there 4 nights.
Valet overall was good, except for on Sunday night when we waited almost 30 minutes for our car. The people around us we heard missed their dinner reservations.
The rooms are still lovely though a little car worn (scuffed walls). Cleaning wasn't stellar. There was black hair in my shower that was not mine and they never seemed to wipe down the table. The elevators also seemed quite dirty this time around.
Unfortunately the Gilded Acorn was a total bust this time. It was the highlight of our last experience. Their online menu is totally different. The pastries are all very sad and don't taste too good either. The coffee, though slow, was fine.
We also did the tea service. It was more aimed for instragrammers. The pastries were fine but nothing extraordinary. I do appreciate the theme and the butterbeer was delicious. Our server wasn't great. The preserves she brought us had already been opened. She was sorry. Yes, but that is a pretty big faux pas.
Would we come back? Certainly. The hotel itself is just beautiful and you have to remind yourself that you're in a NYC or Chicago style building but with OKC service.
Fabulous building with excellent renovation. Very good rooms and restaurants. Excellent service quality. Tenecia and chris at front desk are outstanding. My go to in OKC
The property was very nice and the rooms were very clean
I only stayed one night but I left thinking this must be the best Marriott experience I have ever had based on the property and customer service. The gentleman who checked me in couldn't have been nicer. I explained I was driving for 10 hours with my dog and had a rough day. He was super kind, attentive and responsive, plus wanted to make sure I had a good stay. It was a really nice way to check in.
The room was clean, view was good, noise was non-existent and I dined twice at the restaurant, which were great experiences as well. I also encountered a manager who stopped to hold the elevator for me. I appreciated the secure garage parking as well, which is one of the reasons I chose the hotel.
Two days later I realized one of my belongings was missing and called the hotel. The gentleman who I spoke with was super kind, and assured me that he would continue to look for the item, then would contact me if it were found to discuss getting it back to me. I sincerely appreciated the concern and interest in taking time to talk to me and help with the situation (even though it was certainly my fault I was in a rush and misplaced things). It makes all the difference! I will definitely stay at this property again.
I only wish I remembered the names of the two employees, since they truly displayed great customer service which is not super common anymore.
