Excellent hotel in Nomad
Pros:

I chose to stay here instead of our usual Ritz Central Park to change things up during our NYC trip. It was very nice, with stunning views. We love their Dyptique products and amenities were too tier! appreciated the welcoming staff. We will definitely stay here again!

Tiny but might!!!
Pros:

The Ritz-Carlton Nomad is a gem in so many ways but most especially because of the terrific staff. Everyone from the doormen to housekeeping are great but Paulina is the ultimate standout. Nothing says "we appreciate you" like being greeted (or welcomed back) by Paulina at the front desk. She deserves the keys to NYC because she embodies what is truly great about the Ritz-Carlton Nomad and New York City!!!

It’s as good as they say.
Pros:

Lived up to the hype. Phenomenal decor and design. Room was so spacious for NYC and had the most unreal view of lower manhattan right from our bed. Dined at both restaurants and they exceeded expectations. Definitely returning.

Excellent - not perfect but great!
Pros:

Overall this was a very good-excellent (but not perfect) experience.
⭐️Check-in: Hostess was knowledgeable, polite, and efficient. room was not quite ready, she welcomed me to lounge, found me a plug for my laptop, and came right over when room became available. I had called the head to request a mini fridge and it was already in the room (tho see below for issues)
⭐️Room: Large (for NYC) and well-equipped with nice linens, good tech controls, steam machine in shower, nicely done lighting, stylish
⭐️Gym: VERY well equipped for hotel gym, 2 ellipticals, bike, 4 treadmills, 24/7, well maintained
⭐️Dining: Zaytinya is amazing - I had doubts as it is a transplant from DC not an original restaurant, but it is just as good as the one in DC! Since I was traveling solo and like to eat at the bar when doing so I ate there all three nights and each was fantastic. Great bartender and servers.
⭐️Staff: Generally polite and knew my name on day 1 (by sight)
❌Mini fridge fail: it turned out to be a freezer instead (and no it was not just set too cold). It was set on 3 of 5 coolness and I put an opened bottle of champagne in there to save rest for next day and it completely froze SOLID! As did a slice of cake, but that was easy to thaw. Champagne not so much. Wasted lots of money on this nice bottle. However, I did mention on checkout and was offered $50 credit… Just about half the cost of bottle so I guess it was reasonable.
❌Turndown: happened between five and 5:30 PM the first two days. The third day I got back at 7PM and it had not yet happened. I called to inquire whether it is their general policy not to offer turn down on the last night of a day, (which I would've thought was reasonable if they said it was) but the lady I talked to had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and simply asked if I was calling to ask turn down and I just said no I wanted to know what their policy was not that I was asking for it as I was in for the night and did not want to be disturbed further. Also for general room service they did not replace used glassware so I did have to ask for that.

Comfortable visit
Pros:

Second visit to this lovely hotel that feels boutique. Very comfy lounge adjacent to the lobby. Excellent food options -- I especially loved breakfast at Zaytinya which had unique, well prepared and served dishes. Attentive staff with many eyes in the lobby which I appreciated. Perfectly appointed rooms with a spacious bathroom and incredible city views. Looking forward to a future stay.

Drinks with friends - Rooftop bar
Pros:

Came here for drinks with friends at the rooftop - its free to go in even if you are not staying - the drinks are not cheap but then the drinks is more or less the price to see the view - as I paid for a beer for $16 - bit steep - overall a nice place

DON’T GO - NOT A TRUE RITZ
Pros:

Horrible hotel with horrible service. How is this a Ritz Carlton? The hotel is in the ghetto, the front doormen are lazy and rude, the rooms are made with such cheap materials, and management doesn’t care.

Can’t wait for the Ritz name to fall off this horrible hotel. Go to the Central Park location for better service.

Great Check In & Hotel Views
Pros:

Phenomenal check in and this is one of my favorite nyc hotels. Upon check in I was reminded of this being a return visit (this is my 3rd time staying) and asked what brings me back. I described the room I had (and loved) last time and Cynthia at the front desk worked to make it happen again! Room views are incredible so I’m elated I decided to stay again and will be back.

Not up to Ritz Carlton Standards, priority given to rooftop bar guests over hotel patrons
Pros:

I recently checked out of a two-bedroom suite at the Ritz-Carlton NoMad, and the experience fell well short of expectations. At check-in, only part of the suite was available; the second bedroom was not cleaned and ready until approximately 7:00 p.m. When it was finally released to us, the room had a noticeable and unpleasant odor.
The on-site manager that evening was attentive and genuinely helpful, though her ability to resolve the situation appeared constrained. Given that our stay totaled just under $14,000, the shortcomings were particularly disappointing.
Beyond the delayed room readiness, there were several maintenance and housekeeping issues. The primary bathroom shower showed visible mold in the seams and corners, an issue that should be easily preventable with routine bleach cleaning. The steam function in the second bathroom shower was inoperable. On another day, housekeeping left behind dirty coffee cups, a container of melted ice, used towels on the floor, and other items despite the room having been marked as serviced.
My most significant concern, however, was the overall impression that hotel operations prioritize rooftop bar patrons over overnight guests. Elevators were frequently congested with staff escorting bar traffic, and as a guest paying a premium rate, it felt as though hotel residents were secondary to non-guests visiting the venue.
Finally, there were visible signs of wear throughout the suite, including chipped furniture and worn fabrics, which further detracted from the experience. I have stayed in many high-end hotels, and this property did not meet the standards typically associated with that tier. The only issue I formally raised with staff was the delayed readiness of the suite, for which I received a credit of $27.43. I did not specifically address the other deficiencies, as I am not inclined to present as an overly demanding guest. Notably, I did not request any concessions. That said, the fact that my next trip to New York this November is already booked at the Waldorf Astoria speaks for itself regarding my assessment of this property.

Our favourite hotel yet.
Pros:

Incredible stay

We’ve been lucky enough to stay in many top hotels around the world and have dined at some incredible restaurants. I’d say this may be our favourite hotel of all time.

Both my wife and I work within the industry and honestly couldn’t fault a thing at this incredible hotel

The restaurants, the bars, the location, the rooms, the rooftop area with unrivalled views of the city are what we booked for.

The reason we would come back, is because the staff made us feel so welcome. We traveled with our 5 year old daughter and she had the best time. From hand picked flowers on arrival to many staff members looking out for us at all times. She felt truly spoiled!

A HUGE mention and our thanks to Kevin in the lobby for looking after us during our stay. Genuinely one of the best hosts we have ever met.

It was a huge snow storm in NY during our trip but we felt right at home at the NoMad Ritz Carlton.

We loved our meal at Bazaar Meat by Jose Andres, chef Victor and team have created a really special experience.

Cocktail bar downstairs serves real classics with a twist. Really friendly professional bartenders again so friendly.

Nubeluz is special - do it. Even for one drink, make sure to wonder outside to the observation deck.

Thank you to all of the team.

No AC + rude staff
Pros:

A truly abysmal stay that began on June 28, 2025 for 2 nights in a deluxe room with 2 beds. First thing that struck me was the humidity and warm temperature despite thermostat settings. I called downstairs and was told everything was in order. Fast forward an hour when I closed the sliding bathroom door to take a warm shower, only to exit and find the entire bathroom engulfed in a thick cloud of steam, totally without any ventilation or air circulation. I went weak in the legs and struck my head against the bathtub before managing to open the sliding door for minimal airflow in the still warm and dank main room. Immediately, I used the Ritz messaging service to no avail so I went downstairs in my frail condition to speak with a manager. All employees were observed fanning themselves vigorously. However, I was denied a room change or even a hotel reassignment. It was only after filing a claim with security and presenting alternate room availability information that a rude manager begrudging switched me into a basic suite with marginally better airflow. Upon checkout, no apologies and total gaslighting. After the fact and upon a Marriott corporate complaint, I got 60,000 bonvoy points in spurts.

A new favorite in Manhattan!
Pros:

What an absolutely spectacular stay in Manhattan! Everything about The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad was wonderful. We stayed 3 glorious nights and were able to walk and/or taxi anywhere we needed to go. All of the restaurants and bars were phenomenal, and our room provided unparalleled views of the incredible city. Before and during our stay, Alyssa did absolutely everything she could to make sure our visit was special -- she more than delivered and made all the difference for us. The proximity to some really great local bakeries and bagels was an added bonus. We can't wait to return!

The worst 5 star hotel I have ever been in my life
Pros:

Stuff is very friendly

Cons:

Hair in the bathtub , every single faucet was broken , I wanted to take a bath but i couldn’t. I requested an iron 30 minutes later I called back , sure enough they forgot about it. I had a meeting at 6.30pm at the restaurant, I got my iron 6.28pm, finally. I was late , because I was waiting for my iron 45 minutes. Next day cleaning lady showed up with no fresh towels , she said we ran out of them. But after giving her tips she brought me couple fresh towels but no fresh robe , hotel is packed and no enough fresh towels for every room. Seriously?

Book it NOW
Pros:

What can I say but this was pretty close to perfection. Location was central, and the vibe and decor knocked it out of the park. Room had a view like no other....all the way downtown with vistas of the entire lower part of Manhattan. Loved the bathroom, spa like. Ate at both restauants and neither dissapointed. BOOK this hotel!

Highly recommended
Pros:

Look, it is a Ritz so one comes to expect certain things and the Nomad does not disappoint. Staff, rooms, fitness center, restaurants are all excellent. Location is convenient to many sites by walking and right on the subway. My only complaint is that our rooms were not ready upon arrival even though we were there fairly late in the afternoon. However, it was a busy holiday and the staff worked hard to make us comfortable until the rooms were ready. Overall, an excellent hotel and stay.

Amazing stay, high quality workers, very nice
Pros:

I checked in here 1am christmas day after a nightmare st regis stay that we had to abandon and the staff was nothing short of amazing. The front desk was extremely nice and quick to check me in. The doorman was amazing, he ended up walking us up to our room, telling us what all the buildings we could see from our view are for, and even recommending local restaurants/bars.

When I wanted hot chocolate they found a way to make it work. When I wanted to take a bath, they had bath salts delivered to me almost instantaneously.

This place doesn't have a butler but you'll get more butler-like service here than you will at the st regis. This property turned my christmas vacation nightmare around for the better. THANK YOU!!!

A disappointing stay at the Ritz Carlton Nomad
Pros:

The Ritz Carlton Nomad is a gorgeous hotel. Unfortunately its beauty did not make up for the very disappointing level of service that our family received during our four night stay over Christmas 2025. We booked several rooms on a high floor, however, when my husband and I arrived at 4pm, we were informed, rather nonchalantly and without apology, that our suite was not ready. We did not receive a text that it was available until 5:30. In the meantime, we went to the lobby bar to wait it out. I ordered a glass of Sancerre but when it arrived I realized that it was room temperature. The waitress offered me some ice. We ordered some snacks when we sat down that did not arrive until we were getting up at 5:30 to go to our room. Later, after our group of five had dinner at Zaytinya, we went up for our reservation at Nubeluz. The staff there was so standoffish. They stood together and spoke only to each other, ignoring us for the longest time. We finally left and went somewhere else. The next morning I called down to the front desk and asked to have a meeting with management. When I arrived at 10:15, the agreed upon time, no one seemed to know what I was talking about. I stood in the lobby while they searched for someone for me to speak with. My daughter and I needed to leave at 10:45. I assumed that I would receive a text or acknowledgement from management that they were sorry to have missed the meeting. Nothing. And on top of that, I never received a guest satisfaction survey. The bellmen were very friendly but everyone else was unwelcoming and disinterested, as though they have already been well received critically and don’t have anything to prove. I will never return to the Ritz Carlton Nomad and frankly, they have taken down the whole Ritz Carlton brand with them.
