Cons:

Beds were noisy, mattress was really uncomfortable, you can hear all the noise coming from the streets, bathrooms were not the best

I thought I chose cheap and cheerful, I got run down and depressing.
Pros:

Its a great location on Northbourne Avenue with off-street parking. The staff were very responsive in helping me with my concerns, so I rate them very well.

Cons:

I didn't stay the night, I left shortly after arriving. The photos showed a renovated hotel with nice clean facilities. The photos of the shared common area and bathrooms were modern and attractive. What I found was so shabby it was depressing, I did not feel comfortable so I left.

Pros:

Convenient, able to open windows for fresh air, close to light rail station, nice view from shared kitchen, easy parking.
Suited 2 night stay.

Cons:

Only 1/3 of the shared bathrooms (containing the showers and toilets) are female only.
Fortunately, it wasn’t full at the time of stay, so there were no delays.
