The staff were great and the use of the luggage storage before checkin was handy. The hotel was close to the station which was perfect. The room was clean, although the carpets a bit dated, the walls are quite thin and you can hear the toilet above flushing every time really loudly. But for a short overnight stay was fine and lovely restaurants for dinner close by.
Stefana and staff were very helpful and friendly. Their English and assist was much appreciated!
Breakfast was pretty good, especially the bakery items. The room floor carpet was terribly dirty.
Location was great right by the train station but it was busy, noisy, and bright from street lights outside. The place is old and could use updating. Our room had two bathrooms...one with the shower the other with the toilet. The sinks in both leaked and they didn't seem to care. It was only one night, so I didn't care either.
We only needed one night in a hotel near the Gare du Nord so we had easy access to the RER B to the airport. In that context, the hotel was just fine. Easy walk to train. The hotel seems like it's undergoing renovation. Lobby and hallway are shabby. Bed was comfortable and room and bathroom were clean. Room was very small but, again, fine for one night especially given the low price. The breakfast was not good. Recommend going to a cafe. Neighborhood is dicey especially heading toward Metro Denfert-Rochechouard. But it's walking distance to Montmatre and Sacre-Coeur. Overall: it's a very economical choice and you get what you pay for.
Dated room. Terribly small bathroom, but ok for a one night stay.
very good for central Paris hotel and close to station, would stay again.
Unfortunately, our vacation got off to a very difficult start.
I booked our flight on June 12th and reserved our hotel room starting from June 13th. Since we were expected to arrive at the hotel around midnight on June 13th, I proactively contacted the hotel via Booking.com to clarify whether we would need to book an additional night for June 12th. Unfortunately, I only received an automated response. So I called the hotel directly.
A receptionist assured me that an extra night was not necessary — there would be enough availability, and no additional charges would apply. I asked him at least ten times to make sure he had understood me correctly, precisely to avoid the situation that ended up happening. He confirmed 100% that he understood and said he had made a note of it.
However, when we finally arrived at the hotel at 1:00 AM, a different receptionist (presumably) told us that our room would only be available from 3:00 PM on June 13th. I explained that I had already spoken with someone on the phone, contacted the hotel via Booking, and even indicated our arrival time through the pre-arrival survey email sent by the hotel. Still, no help was offered. A hotel without any backup room options? Unbelievable.
My mother and I were left without accommodation in the middle of the night. The hotel offered no form of support or compensation — we were simply told we could sleep in the lobby.
In the end, we had to go out at night, on our own, as two women visiting Paris for the first time, to find another hotel — which I managed to do under stress. We paid €200 for that emergency night. This expense was caused entirely by the hotel’s mistake and no one is willing to reimburse us.
The room we eventually received was moderately clean. The bed linens had been changed.
Convenient location to train station with many restaurants surrounding. Room was small, but overall clean. Friendly staff at front desk made check-in easy.
AVOID at all costs. The images are not at all what the rooms look like. There are stains on the carpets, the rooms are dated, old and falling apart. The bathroom is extremely small and broken tiles + plaster smears on the walls. The room was dark and just disgusting. The building was also under construction with entry was obstructed. The manager is quite frankly the rudest person I’ve met. Denying our complaints while the check-in man was nice there wasn’t anything he could do against her vile composure. I left immediately after seeing the room and they wouldn’t refund or offer anything. Horrible experience left me in a bad way financially and emotionally.
Accueil irréprochable
Chambre donnant sur l’extérieur, juste à côté de l’enseigne lumineuse de l’hôtel. Le rideau occultant laisse passer la lumière sur les côtés
Stay was average
Hôtel bien pour une nuit entre deux trains .
Functional, handy location very close to station, nice staff, room actually decent size for family room with single beds for kids. No complaints really idesl for overnight journey break...Thank you for finding our son's teddy you made him very happy! :)
First of all, there are 2 hotels in the same structure, Lennon by Avalon and Avalon, the first is very old and dirty, the second is better but they sell you the nice one, showing those pictures and then give you the horrible room at the same price! This should not be permitted and hotels.com should better review the listings and pictures of this hotel
We got the room on the 6th floor which was a bit dated but it did the job. Cleanliness could be improved as there was someone else’s hair on the bathroom floor and blood on the door. Location was convenient to the train station.
The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, it’s around 5mins walk. Receptions are super friendly and very helpful. Room was okay, little bit outdated but very clean. Would definitely do with a new carpet as it was stained. Beds were very comfortable and the location is perfect.
Not the perfect area but would stay again.
