Most expensive and worst hotel in my life
330 euros for a room big as a cupboard! Window does not open, no airconditioning, no water bottle , no towel in bedroom, cheapest existing ikea furniture
The only good thing about this hotel was the location; it's within walking distance of the train station and every landmark and shop. The hotel itself is quite poor and it seems like they rent their rooms by the hour. The guy checking us in couldn't find our reservation and told us we'd have to wait 20 minutes for our room to be cleaned on the second floor (this is at 7pm) because the only rooms available were on the first floor and they use those for their "short-term" guests (we were only there for two nights). We waited and waited and then were informed the other manager gave our room away and we were put on the first floor anyway. It was too hot to keep the window closed but absurdly noisy with the window open because the hotel bar played extremely loud music and everyone was shouting at each other until 4am. On a Thursday. The room itself was tiny and gross and definitely not worth the price.
No heating. Reception is closed at 12.00 to 15.00. we left our luggage in reception and nearly missed our plane. And also bellboy warned us to not to smoke outside of the hotel.
Staff not present all day. Limit4ed access to staff.
Central location. Lots of restaurants and sites close by. The room was very small, with a tiny bath. Check-in was in a bar area, with no common area. Breakfast was very disappointing with a very limited selection.
In my life, I don't recall I have seen such bad service from any hotel or motel. You don't have any formal service desk. You kept me waiting outside till 3:00 PM for entering. I thought, I will leave my baggage in the hotel storage and then when I come back from my Zurich visit, in the evening, I will enter my room. I wasted hours for this waiting. They never cleaned or changed towels during my 3 night's stay. I even got stuck by using the chain lock inside. It was not coming out in normal system. There is no phone to contact service desk. I shouted for help. Finally, I found a way to open it. Breakfast was included. But I could not find anybody in the morning. I left at 7:30 AM on an average every morning. If they serve later, do they expect me to stay longer and miss my trip bus? In every hotel they start 7:00 AM or early. They had body wash or cleaning liquid which feels diluted. So, I did not use them. To go from one side of the room to other side is a trick. It was hopelessly tight space. This reservation was my worst experience in the whole trip from Sept. 1st through Sept. 12th. Your cancellation policy is also disgusting once it is paid. 24- or 72-hours cancellation policy with full refund is not available. I found Linda, your service manager on last night of my stay. She was super rude and impolite when I complained her for not cleaning the room. According to her people don't like anybody to enter the room when they are not there. But I never said anything like that.
An actual bar is your check in counter.... No where to keep your bags and no one around to answer questions. The owner doesnt show up until 3 pm on the dot so by the time she arrives and opens many groups are waiting to get checked in, meaning itll be up for another 30 to 45 minutes after 3 pm for some people. Also at breakfast there was really no options. The woman behind the bar was very over whelmed with just two orders for coffee that it took over 30 minutes for her to just acknowledge us and give a bottle of water. If you are showing up after 3 pm and have no expectations for hospitality then this hotel is good. The rooms are nice. But the lack of reception/available persons made us lose out on almost an entire day since we arrived at 11 and had to wait with our bags until 3 pm. It also felt as if we were a burden to the staff instead of customers. (The only nice thing is the bar on the corner has DELICIOUS food and HELPFUL staff, unlike at the hotel).
Hotel Hechtplatz was friendly and welcoming. The single room booked turned out to be occupied and I was given a double room instead.
It was comfortable, the breakfast was plentiful and with a reasonable choice, and the employee was obliging and helpful.
Very good value!
Upon arrival I was ushered to reception, now a World Cup Bar, with a raging event going on. I got there at 7:30pm. The Bartender gave me my card key with the room number on it. No WiFi code. No amenities except towels, tv remote, tp, a hot pot and a box of camomole tea. It was like an air b&b. According to the write up on Hotel's.com there was supposed to be manned front desk. Not true. Not much housekeeping, had to ask for tp and towels. No visibke manager for 2 days, then no attention to "guests". I never got use of tge wifi. For an expensive city like Zurich, this was overpriced, underserviced and doesn't qualify as a real hotel. It hasbeen mismarketed and should be removed from selections for Zurich
It was not apprpropriate as a Hotel.com listing.
There was no way to contact anyone if there was a lock out. The bar wasn't open each day/night. Miserable and this should be partially refunded. Worst property is superlative location. Zurich deserves better.
Hotel was super clean and tidy
sehr gute Lage
Priced significantly lower than other hotels in the area and well worth the price. Clean, comfortable, and in a GREAT location.
Upon our arrival a very rude woman at the reception informed us that they had no rooms available. I said that we had a booking and her our documents and again she said that they had no room. She then said that she could arrange for us to stay at another hotel, but we refused. She then said that she could give us our money back. We took the money and left. We were amazed at the way we were treated, and therefore would urge everyone to avoid this hotel at all costs!
Right in the heart of the old town. Beautiful area right near lake Zurich. Wonderful food and shopping just steps away from the hotel.
Worst hotel I have ever been. It says hotel but it is not. No 24 hr service. Deactivated our room key card too early in the morning on the day of check out. So we could not leave the room because our key was not working. Called their number many times for 1:30 hrs but no answer at all. So we left early and looked for a luggage storage to store our luggage so that we could go around zurich before our flight in the afternoon. We wasted our time and money(for storage fee and uber) not only these but the hassle and the stress that we had to deal with. DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
El hotel está bien ubicado cerca a la zona histórica de Zurich. La parada del tranvía está a un par de minutos
It was certainly nice to be in the center of the old city but we were not prepared to have no place to drop off our luggage and no one was available who spoke any English to confirm our room reservation. The first room I was taken too was not only VERY small for 2 people, but it also smelled bad. The manager could not find a working key and had to go through several keys looking for one that worked (finally had to use the pass key instead). The second room shown to me smelled better and was slightly larger. The following day another manager in broken English asked me why I took a larger room than I paid for; I mentioned the bad odor and she dropped the topic. I appreciated finding a hotel on the day of my check-in but hope I can do better if given another stay need in Old Town Zurich.
Fantastisk dårlig. Vi overnattet ikke. Reiste videre til annen destination
