We loved this hotel and can't wait to return. Every consideration has been taken to ensure a wonderful stay, the staff were lovely , we tried all the restaurants and they were fab, the room was gorgeous and the gardens were a haven of peace and beauty.

Pros:

Was there for a wedding. The front desk was very accommodating. It rained and made the steps really slippery and I fell one night. Other than the distance and uphill walk, I recommend.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Lou Calen. Starting with the check-in staff as they were so accommodating. The entire staff is extremely nice, helpful and friendly. I dont know for certain but it appears to be a family-run property.

Our rooms were very nicely-appointed, very clean and most of all extremely modern.

We were thrilled with our stay there

Great Hotel All Around
Pros:

Stunning location; beautiful, ample and clean rooms with a spacious and comfortable bed, plus some outside space to enjoy the surroundings; great level of service from the staff. Good quality French breakfast. The restaurant and wine bar on location are also excellent. Will book again.

Pros:

Smukt istandsat lejlighed i grotte. Selve området var smukt og personalet var meget venligt og hjælpsomt, hvilket klart trækker oplevelsen op. Flot og velholdt poolområde. Mulighed for gratis opladning af elbil. Gode initiativer som vandflasker til genopfyldning, det havde været godt med mulighed for affaldssortering. Selve lejligheden var dog meget fugtig pga grotten, hvilket tydeligt kunne lugtes i tøjet og mærkes på mængden af myg. Der er lille køkken som godt kunne bruge bare lidt mere basisudstyr fx en gryde - personalet var dog venlige til at skaffe det.
Der blev ikke gjort rent de dage vi var der, der var en del spindelsvæv i hjørner og kroge.
Man har egen terrasse i rolige omgivelser.
Vi boede der tre nætter, det var et helt unikt hotel og en meget spændende og anderledes oplevelse, men færre nætter havde nok været bedre.

A magical place for a family vacation. Staff (especially Anthony at front desk☺) were wonderful. We booked 2 rooms, which were incredibly spacious and unique. Perfect location in Cotignac,a couple minutes walk away from boutiques and many restaurants. We loved our stay and highly recommend Lou Calen!

Pros:

A nice resort with beautiful grounds, but very difficult to find. There were lots of technical features in the room but a decent amount didn’t work or were too confusing to operate. Our room was also in a construction area and not very easy to get too. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Parking was complicated, the hotel lot was full and other parking options were limited and far. Restaurant on site was booked out for the entire weekend and we were not informed ahead of time, but the surrounding area had nice places with wonderful food.

This is hands down the most beautiful hotel I ever have stayed at and I travel often. We were here for our friends wedding. From the start Jade and Anthony were so helpful and communicative throughout our 3 day/2 night stay. The amenities throughout the hotel were wonderful and inside of our hotel room as well. The atmosphere surrounding the hotel (mountains, views, location, etc.) was absolutely stunning and remarkable. I could not recommend staying here more and we are looking forward to coming back to Lou Calen in the future- thank you again for a wonderful vacation!
