Central to the city , top floor room clean and modern
Not really the apartment itself but parking advertised as nearby £10 for 24 hrs but now over £16 , but it’s very secure and nearby
The room is spacious and warm. The kitchen is clean with plenty of utensils to use.
The TV is a smart TV with a Netflix app you can log into with your own account. WiFi was also good and the location is convient, although the street itself had alot of run down buildings.
This room was advatised as sound proof, but you hear alot of noise from around the building and street through the night.
The shower wasn't clean and there was splashes up the door and cabinet in the bath room. The box around the toilet and skirting boards were really dusty.
The bedding was also very bobbly and kept shedding onto the bed. The furniture was marked and damaged. It looked like there was cream,/ tooth paste on one of the bedside tables.
Well located close to the Cathedral
The size and location
Nothing wrong
It was warm
The bed covers were itchy and not comfortable
We used to stay here every week in term time for a while as the facilities used to be exactly what we’d were looking for; a home away from home when you’re working away. The first time we stayed, where we were blown away by the attention to detail and thoughtful design of the rooms, great kitchen supplies plus a super friendly staff and a lovely breakfast at the cafe/bistro. Most of the features are still intact, just tired and in need of maintenance, but the new management run a much more hostel than B&B environment.
Unfortunately it has gone gradually downhill both in regard to cleaning and communication over the past two years. For a while I put it down to the new management getting settled, and we were happy to pay a little less and get breakfast elsewhere, but the difference doesn’t add up. However, they used to be responsive. Unfortunately, the last time we stayed we also didn’t get a response when we had sub-par cleaning ulon arriving (dirty sock on the floor, dirty towels hanging in the bathroom and no dish towel). I usually don’t leave bad reviews unless no effort has gone in to rectifying, as everyone can make mistakes, but not getting support to reassure us the room had been cleaned lead to a very uncomfortable night wondering if we were also sleeping in dirty bedding.
Modern finish, easy check in.
We were close the front door on the ground floor, which if you are a light sleeper just request a room upstairs away from main door. It wasn’t an issue, I’m just a light sleeper, so did wake me a couple of times.
Very clean
The staff member who drove from near Manchester to the apartments in Sheffield at 0100 in the morning to get fresh sheets for us was nice enough.
The apartment was nicely designed and otherwise clean (from afar).
I use Booking.com for a reason, to book and pay for accommodation with confidence, what I failed to miss is the hidden bullet point at the bottom of the specifics that state they want you to Bank Transfer £50 along with a photo of your ID (Right??!!).
Really poor communication ahead of our arrival, kept having to chase them for self-service check-in instructions.
Then at 2300 we're desperately trying to ring their only contact number, which closes at 2000, trying to get fresh sheets because they'd not changed the sheets before our arrival. Covered in crusty body fluids and short curly hairs. (Thankfully after 15+ attempts, they answered) apparently it was our fault for not noticing the state of the sheets during their working hours.
Clean, comfortable & Convenient. Very near to our children uni accommodation.
Nothing
Well laid out. Convenient to shops and bars
Tv broken. Doors not soundproof
Cosy place to stay and quite
N/A
Everything is very nice and location is perfect
Beautiful room
The noise from the opposite room
Exactly what we were looking for. More space with fridge and sofa and cooking facilities and fairly central location.
Not receiving bank details for security deposit payment until late evening day before trip yet requested to pay 24 hours before visit - added stress.
Not easy to use cooker and microwave - instructions given didn't match controls and not logical. Nice message sent saying we could contact if any issues but had already given up using cooker and microwave at that point.
