We had an overall pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is cosy and convenient, with many restaurants nearby and easy access to the Sultanahmet area.
One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast service. The breakfast area was pleasant, well-organised, and the selection was good. We especially appreciated that whenever a dish became empty, it was quickly refilled, ensuring guests always had fresh food available. We would also like to thank the three gentlemen who regularly assisted us during our stay. Unfortunately, we do not recall their names, but they were always friendly, professional, and attentive, and they contributed greatly to our positive experience.
The hotel team as a whole was very welcoming and responsive to guest needs.

Cons:

However, our experience in Room 107 was negatively affected by inconsistent housekeeping. The floor was not properly cleaned on a daily basis, and even the drinking glasses were sometimes left uncleaned. As allergy sufferers, this had a direct impact on our comfort and made it difficult for us to breathe comfortably at times.
We raised this issue with the hotel staff, and they consistently listened to our concerns and took action, providing fresh towels and following up to ensure the room was cleaned. For this reason, I do not place responsibility on the reception or guest service team, who were attentive and helpful throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the housekeeping standards in our room did not consistently meet expectations, and this affected our overall experience.
Proper cleaning should be part of the standard service, especially for guests with allergies. While the staff did their best to address our concerns, the recurring housekeeping issue was disappointing.
Despite this, we would like to thank the team for their kindness, professionalism, and excellent customer service, as well as the enjoyable breakfast experience they provided every morning. Overall, with more consistent housekeeping, this hotel could offer an even better guest experience.

The breakfast was good and varied, being a continental breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant open from noon until after midnight.The hotel is lovely and charming; the rooms look exactly like those in the photos on Booking. Cleaning is done daily—towels are changed, the room is vacuumed, and bed linen and pillowcases are replaced. The hotel is located in a very safe area, just two minutes from the Blue Mosque, surrounded by nice hotels and clean restaurants. The staff is very friendly and efficient, offering useful advice and arranging tickets for excursions, tourist and historical attractions, and Bosphorus boat parties. I recommend this hotel to others and will certainly return

Perfect family hotel for exciting trip to Istanbul
Pros:

We loved our six night stay! Travelling with two children (8 and 10) we always appreciate hotels where staff are welcoming, and we feel safe, supported, in a central location and with facilities to keep things nice and easy. La Vida, with the help of the incredibly welcoming manager Selman achieved all these things. The location was perfect for us. A few mins walk to what felt to us like the heart of the city - by Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia and tram stops. The actual street is super chilled and we enjoyed eating our meals in the linked restaurant 'Paradise' each evening.

A hotel szolgáltatásait már a harmadik alkalommal vettük igénybe az isztambuli nyaralásunk alkalmával.
Jószívvel ajánljuk az İsztambulba érkezőknek a La Vida Old City Hotelt.
Hotel rendkívül közel van a Kék mecsethez, Hagia Sophiahoz, Gülhane Parkhoz, Galata hídhoz, Márvány tenger partjához, illetve a Sultanahmet térhez.
Hotel alatt található a Paradise Seafood & Kebab Restaurant ahol a reggelit tálalják fel és a vacsorának is tökéletes helyszíne, ahol a hotel lakói a finom ételek elfogyasztása után 10 %-os kedvezményben részesülnek a vacsora árából.
Recepciósok önzetlen segítőkészsége, figyelmessége, problémamegoldó képességük átlagon felüli.

Perfecte hotel om Istanbul een weekje te verkennen!
Pros:

Mooi hotel en goed gelegen, je kan overal lopend komen of de tram pakken die op 5 minuten loopafstand was. Om het hotel heen zijn er ook veel marktjes die je kan bezoeken en tegen over het hotel is er ook een kleine supermarkt. Het personeel was echt super vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Ze gaven ook goede tips voor waar we heen konden gaan. Een fijne ervaring!

The location was very good, not too far from the tramvay. It is located behind Sultanahmet mosque in the streets after the Arasta Çarşı. When it comes to the room it was clean, clean bedsheets, bathroom, spacious room. Breakfast was good. The staff was helpfull. Its very much worth the money!
