très bel boutique-hôtel au coeur de Briones. Accueil et service professionnel. Chambre très bien (demander le 3 étage pour la vue sur la vallée). Buffet petit déjeuner très bien, sans être exceptionnel. Restaurant étoilé Michelin de qualité.
il manque une piscine. Un espace gym mange une grande partie d'une terrasse au 2ème, dont je doute qu'il soit grandement utilisé. L'espace serait parfait pour un petit bassin avec vue sur la vallée.

Beautiful luxurious hotel in a old world medieval town set above the vineyards of Rioja. We opted for the big room with lounge area and a balcony. Room was big and very luxurious . Breakfast on of the best I have had with full continental buffet and also cooked. Loved our stay. Staff exceptional. At night used the balcony to star gaze.
Parking could be tricky and google maps took us a weird way to get to the hotel. It’s simple once you know and not complicated.

Prachtige locatie, midden in de Rioja, bovenop een heuvel en midden in het levendige centrum. Vanop terras een geweldige zonsondergang, maar wat vooral uitspringt is de geweldige architectuur en uiterst moderne inrichting en dat in combinatie met de oorspronkelijke stijl van deze Spaanse woning.

The property was amazing. It has been renovated in a creative and tasteful way. The room was spacious with plenty of wardrobe space and a large modern bathroom. There was a lovely, little courtyard. We were offered a kettle to make tea as “we were English” - nice touch. We had food in the restaurant one night and it was excellent as was the breakfast.
This hotel is in a small, walled village in La Rioja 4-5km from any other settlement. We had dinner the first night and thought we could eat in the village on the Sunday night. Even though it was mid August nothing was open except a couple of bars and there was no meals to be had at all. It may have been a lack of research on my behalf but we didn’t expect this and ended up going hungry. On the Sunday night we asked if we could book for dinner the next night but no they had a party in. The suggestion was to go to Haro but that is 5km away and we won’t drink and drive. We ended up going to Haro for a late lunch which was just as well as Briones was closed again Monday night. A hotel of this quality should be able to ensure their guests are catered for and if there is no room in the restaurant offer an alternative. I felt like crying.
