Zu teuer, schlechtes Frühstück und sehr laut
Pros:

Gute Anbindung. Optisch schönes Hotel.

Cons:

Der Preis zur Buchung lag bei 140€. Während des Aufenthaltes haben wir festgestellt, dass die gleichen Zimmer auch für 60€ vermietet wurden.
Es ist sehr hellhörig und man hört die Straße sehr laut!
Das Frühstück ist alles andere als gut und nicht zu empfehlen.
Im Bad hat es hin und wieder nach Abfluss gestunken.
Insgesamt wurden wir dort nicht nochmal übernachten.

Amazing stay in Kyoto
Pros:

We loved our room in a beautiful Japanese traditional style and it was so spacious! Hotel’s location is amazing: bus stop is a 2 min walk, subway is a 7 min walk as well. You can get to anywhere, and you can easily walk to Gion too. Staff is very kind and we enjoyed our stay. It is a great value.

Cons:

I don’t really have anything to say. They don’t clean your room that often which is fine as it’s for the environmental purposes . I do think that at least refreshing the towels every 2 days would be helpful but it wasn’t a big deal honestly. The hotel is still awesome.

Good affordable hotel with nice rooms
Pros:

Really simple but decent hotel option with easy access for travelling around Kyoto to see west side temples/ walk to Gion and the Philosopher’s Path. Staff were lovely. Our room was nice and well soundproofed given it overlooked a busy junction.

Cons:

The breakfast was pretty awful and we skipped it after the first day, but lots of local options for food and a great supermarket we stocked up on yoghurt and made our own morning coffee.
