The room was spacious, comfortable, had everything we needed, the air-con unit was a bonus. The bed was extremely comfortable, great nights sleep. The breakfast, which was continental, was fresh with plenty of options and very tasty, the coffee was excellent. Steve the ‘Narrator’ was a fabulous host.
Everything was great, we needed nothing else.
Geweldig klein hotel met heerlijk ontbijt! Thema van het hotel is literatuur, de kamers waren hiernaar ingericht (wij sliepen in ´Breakfast at Tiffanys´ en dat boek was ook aanwezig. Vriendelijk personeel. Hotel ligt vrijwel gelijk aan het strand.

Belle chambre , décoration thématique de l’hôtel originale, très bon petit déjeuner. Parking gratuit la nuit pour se garer pas très loin. À proximité immédiate du cent4e et des restaurants. Astuce : arriver par Westham rd pour garer sa voiture en dépose rapide et sortir ses bagages et non par esplanade (ne pas suivre son gps…)

The attention to detail, location and cleanliness was everything we wanted! Our room was lovely decorated and bed very comfy! Breakfast was perfect for a continental and Steven the owner was fab! It was my birthday and he made us feel very welcome with a complimentary glass of Prosecco on arrival.

The friendly atmosphere and individual style. The air conditioner in the room was an absolute game changer. The Hotel was spotlessly clean and my Husband and I had the best sleep ever. The staff were very attentive and couldn’t do enough for you.
There was nothing I didn’t like about the property, I would highly recommend a stay here.
I enjoyed the staff and location.

- the pillows on the bed were not comfortable
- not enough water in the downstairs fridge
Exceptionally clean and very comfortable; I've never been amazed by how comfortable a carpet was before but I was here! The decor was very nice, not generic like many hotels, it was historic but not in a dated way. Breakfast was simple but very nice, perfect for me since I'm a light breakfast person. Steve is incredibly helpful and ensures you have everything you need throughout the stay. Location is great; both the station and the harbour are a short walk away. The shower was also very good.
Only small nitpicks since it was really an excellent stay. The sink in our bathroom was a little small which meant I ended up splashing water about. The shower screen doesn't quite catch all the spray meaning the bathroom floor can get quite wet. The lack of a car park is unfortunate but unavoidable given the location. Staff are willing to help move bags from the unloading bay round the corner and the station car park is affordable and nearby (although quite busy).

The staff were lovely and very personable, it felt like being part of the family but with the professionalism of a great hotel.
The breakfast was lovely. I enjoyed the fresh fruits and also the fresh bread and pastries with boiled egg and cheese and ham. Steve was always there to refill your coffee cup,it was spot on.
The stay was perfect the only thing we didn't like was leaving to come home.
Location, nice and central to the beach and all the shops and harbour.
Lack of parking anywhere close by unfortunately, and rather expensive!
