Palm Beach Inn

I wish I could truly put into words how amazing this place is! Dan and his pups were the perfect hosts!! My fiancée and I came in on Christmas Eve of all days and he went out of his way to make sure we knew where to stop since we were coming in late and was there to greet us. Dan is an amazing guy and we even made sure to take him out for a New Years Eve dinner downstairs at Cuckoo’s Nest just to try and show our appreciation (highly recommend the restaurant and some time with Dan- incredible story).

About the place- we are adventurers so we weren’t in the room (room 8) all that much but the pictures online don’t do the rooms justice. A full kitchen stocked with all of the cooking utensils you need. Coffee maker, toaster, etc. are all there as well. If you want to cook and stay in- you have a spacious room with a kitchen, nice TV, great bed, awesome patio, and AC. I would highly recommend getting out and trying the restaurant downstairs or the others just a short walk down the way.

If you need anything Dan is THE MAN! He had many recommendations and connections with things to do and people to call. If you couldn’t tell by now… I am a talker… all of this information was asked for and never once did Dan seem overbearing. He was there whenever we needed!

Also… this location is fantastic. Not the chaos in Tamarindo. Peaceful. Safe. A quick walk to the beach. A shop/market down below. Restaurants within smelling distance. And GREAT people. 10/10 would recommend Palm Beach Inn!

Loved it. The room was big enough. Rec room/gym and pool area all exceeded expectations. And it was Great to have restaurant and store on site. Owner Dan was very helpful and attentive. Staff were very nice especially Alvaro... treated us like family. Hope to see you guys again soon!

This place is perfect for a trip to Playa Grande. Close to the Grateful Hotel for music. The place has an onsite restaurant and bar that has excellent food and a fun atmosphere. The pool is large and very clean. There is also an onsite small grocery store that has a great selection of items. Close to the beach. Nice comfortable apartments with a full kitchen and great decks to hang out on. Extremely friendly staff!!!!

This hotel was a bit off the beaten track but its privacy was offset by it proximity to one of the greatest beaches and estuaries I have ever seen. The building was new, fastidiously clean, secure & cool (ie air conditioned.) The owner, Dan, was constantly available. The hotel's grocery store and restaurant were both only a few steps from the rooms and pool. All the members of the staff were committed to the comfort and satisfaction of the guests and went out of their ways to assure good service in English and Spanish. The room I had was large with a complete kitchen, beautiful bathroom, modern in-wall air conditioner, large bedroom area with a comfortable bed and a balcony with large armchairs looking onto the forested area. There were ceiling fans in the bedroon and on the balcony. TV was high definition Netflix, Prime, Disney, Web browser, etc. but no local television programming. Not needed anyway. Internet connection was provided free. The tap water was very clean and potable. The dining area was open air staffed by cheerful, welcoming, expert staff with a modest menu of excellent food and a wide variety of bottled or prepared drinks. There was no fresh meat or fruit available in the store but they had a very good variety of all sorts of packaged foods, soft drinks, alcohol, dry goods, frozen treats and souvenirs. There was a Surf Shop next to the restaurant that offered tours and surf lessons. I took a memorable tour of the mangrove area of the estuary.

Great place to stay. Owner is very nice. Good food around area.

The property was perfectly located in a neighborhood area that is close to everything. In addition, everything you could need for a comfortable stay is in-site or offered as a service on-site. Lastly, management and staff are great!

Dan has done a great job building the inn and adjacent facilities! Beds are comfy, linens were great and kitchen is adequately equipped. We moved the two wicker chairs in from the balcony as there was otherwise no other place to relax.

The size of the room was exceptional and the furnishings were clean & modern. the balcony overlooked the pool which was very pleasant and calming, and the kitchen was well appointed and very functional. The inn also features a great restaurant and bar that’s open Mon-Sat and there’s also a convenience store on site for picking up groceries, beverages, snacks, and a wide range of goods. The surf shop features t-shirts and towels.

The Inn is new and lovely. The market has a variety of items and I would HIGHLY recommend you try their homemade ice cream cookie sandwiches. ;0) The rooms have the most plush towels I have ever experienced at a hotel, literally better than my own towels at home. And all the items in the kitchen (toaster, blender, stove etc) all in new/like new condition. I didn't try the onsite restaurant. Just a couple minute easy walk from the beach. And SMART; they have a safe in each room that works off credit card versus a code or key. Dan (owner ) and his team were terrific. The most powerful AC unit I experienced on my vacation lol!

Loved the location and had very welcoming staff. the host Dan went over the top to accommodate us.

My husband and I liked everything about this property - the location, the owner, the attached convenient store, the attached restaurant and the proximity to the beach. The owner, Dan, is exceptionally welcoming and will answer any questions you have. His suggestions for things to do in the area were always on point - and if you are able you MUST try the nachos at his attached restaurant with the mango salsa. The salsa is made from fresh ingredients straight out of Dan's garden on/around the property! We will stay here again when we come back!

Dan was friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The rooms were large and clean, and the restaurant, marker, and surf shop downstairs had everything we needed. Playa Grande, a large, quiet, pristine beach was a short walk away
